Seems to run out off beers and ciders a lot... There's always 'a delivery due tomorrow' Big garden. JohnnyCrow - 23 Jul 2014 13:08 |
Dreadful for ale drinkers. One pump (Doom Bar dishwater) and a bar person who'll tell you the ale's "great" then when asked further, admit they don't actually drink ale. No bottled ale. Dismal place. melita666 - 13 Dec 2013 23:38 |
I don't know what this pub was like before it was taken over but I've heard it's completely different now. The pub is a really great place to spend an evening with friends. The downstairs is a fair size with big tables for large groups of friends to fit round (ideal for students!). There is a pool table at one end and on the night I went there was an evening of music provided by a mixtape affair. Great tunes, each one better than the last. The guys running this place have created a really relaxed chilled out place with a fun vibe. Getting there is easy too as the bus stop is literally straight outside the door (staggering distance!). The menu is good quality and value for money. In the summer the beer garden will be amazing as its massive and is currently being smartened up. This is a pub that I will be going back to! harriet89 - 18 May 2009 15:13 |

A really friendly pub, great place to spend the evening. It's so much better than it was. Good food, and cool music, definitely something different for the area. I went to their monthly Saturday gig amixtapeaffair fab indie music - I think it's a monthly thing. Will be back to check oout the beer garden in June. linguine - 11 May 2009 21:54 |
