Much improved from 18 months ago when it looked like we'd lose it. Current management have gone to 2 regular cask ales and up to 2 guests. Trade seems to be busier than when it was up for sale. steve.hill4 - 4 Apr 2010 16:15 |
Good pub for reasonably priced food and more. Quiz night on Wednesday. Live music sometimes at weekends. Classic Sunday lunches for all the family.Indoor long skittles alley. The bar prices aren't bad at 2.40 for a pint of lager/2.20 bitter and a constantly changing selection of cask bitters. We always call in for a meal when in the area. dbc. - 29 Sep 2007 10:23 |
By far the best pub in Stapleford. Friendly staff, a good variety of cheap food, great entertainment with Kareoke every other Friday. In the lounge; Wednesday is Quiz night and there is frequent live music. The bar has pool, darts and a good selection of up to date music on the jukebox. The only downside are that the prices are slightly higher than other pubs in Stapleford - paying 2.60 for a bottle of Smirnoff Ice. All in all good for a night out, or a quiet drink with a meal babym - 26 Apr 2005 09:12 |
The Magpie is within walking distance from my grandmother. When we are in England to visit, we always go to the Magpie for a good English dinner and a little drink. My husband thinks that the bathroom is neat as he says that you "pee on the wall" Allison - 6 Nov 2004 03:22 |
