The name is ' St Matthews Hall ' now, this is one of the nicer to be in ' spoons ' that the beer , the food and the staff are all very acceptable makes this venue worth seeking out.
Reasonable enoug Wetherspoons, just 4 real ales on though - quality OK
Now trading as St Matthews Hall- it's a 'spoons, so you know what to expect. My beer was OK, outside space quite nice on a warm day.
Currently closed- to reopen as a Wetherspoons, apparently.
Now trades as Martha's Vineyard. Desperate pricing policy ; seems to be 1 a pint all day, which attracts just the profile of customers you'd expect. There was a guy asleep at a corner table when I went in[and went straight out again].
Grossly overated and overpriced, bar staff think they are on the catwalk not working behind a bar. Service is worse than The Imperial, full of Chavs.
not a good place for a drink and its too expensive.
Waste of a good building. Crap pub, crap music and overpriced.
ok,wednesday and saturdays the best to go as 1 a drink wednesday and is good for us students. get a few weirdos in though but the nice bouncers make up for that!
