My last Cambridge pub of the day on New Year's Day was this Milton Brewery establishment on the southern outskirts of the city, amidst a modern housing development. It was quiet inside. But there were 5 or 6 customers in the larger of the 2 bars. Ales were mostly from Milton - Pegasus, Medusa, Sparta, Justinian & Mammon. There were also guests from Milk Street - Zig Zag Stout & Session Ale & Banks & Taylor Santa's Slayer. The cider was Abrahalls Thundering Molly. A bit out of the way. But worth the trek out of town.

The Queen Edith opened 24th April 2015. It is a completely new pub, close to the site of the demolished old one. Beer is from Milton Brewery and guests. Food is excellent. Early days but good.

Pub now closed down!

Underrated estate pub - traditional and welcoming, excellent beer quality (try the Mild), and cheap pub food e.g. pizzas.

Pretty good, on the whole, but Punch Taverns now want to close it and re-develop it as housing (Sept 2010).

Recently I re-visited the pub over the Easter period and I can say that the place is a lot better. They have knocked the bar into one. I would usually say that is a bad idea, but it is an improvement for the pub. Also they have started doing pub grub.
Good Luck to everyone at The QE, including the dog's
;)

I liked this place a lot - certainly the best I found in the Cherry Hinton / SE Cambridge area. Good range of ales (including mild) and well kept too. Also comes with a very friendly pub dawg.

Most improved pub in Cambridge, possibly anywhere. A very welcoming local close to Addenbrookes Hospital but a long way from other pubs. The main thing - excellent beer quality and an expanding but sensible range (Deuchars, Youngs, Burton Ale etc). Great.

This place is slowly improving, though it has taken time. Many Landlords have been and gone. Also the clientele has changed considerably.
