F**k me why not revisit the bar scene in Star Wars, there`s Solo, Greedo, Chewie and an innocent Luke coming in for the early 8am pint of cheap fosters. Its a good un and just great to cash that giro.

Called mainly to get a quick breakfast which was fine if standard Wetherspoon fare, and the beer was also good in terms of choice and quality. Better than average experience for this chain.

Very impressed by visit this friday. great selection of beer.Friendly staff.

Beer festival time, so Wetherspoons made was added to the itinerary. Some cracking beers, especially the SriLankan stout and I also really liked the perry. A really friendly pub and special thanks to the barman who was really helpful and allowed a few small samplers for the less brave member of our group.

A traditional old style Wetherspoon. I don't drink here very often as I live 30 miles away. I have never experienced anything but excellent beer and very friendly efficient staff. Ok the place is a little dated but is always clean. The staff and managers seem to know everyone and if they don't they soon do. The manager I was talking to about the beers remembered me from over 6 months ago when I last saw him. Many new beers appear here along with local micros. Never a bad pint or experience.

Another visit to Darlington at the end of last month, and the 12 handpulls all had clips on. 2 ciders, 2 Ruddles, 2 Abbott and 6 guests. We had good service and the place was clean. No mucky tables.

Called in earler this month as I had heard they were doing a selection of Hambleton beers at a mini fest, and we enjoyed 2 of their beers - Pony Tail and Yorkshire Lager. Can't call it traditional pub - it is another Spoons style space after all, but call in when in town to see what is on offer.

One of the only traditional pubs left in darlington, the food was very good on my visit, can't go wrong for beer and pint at just under a fiver.

Good quick service and a very quaffable pint, 7/10

Quiet pint in the Tanners Dell72??? When do you go? Try Sat eve , it's a seething mass of Skerne Park hardcases getting lashed up ready for action. Quaint decor; brains and blood.

I must say, it'salways the place i start when i'm down town.. the drinks are just too cheap to refuse.
The only drawback is you may get a few drunk old men dribbling over your shoulder telling you how they're your best mate and end up telling you their whole life story.
The food's not bad. Cleanliness is much to be desired and well, the staff aren't exactly jumping for joy and most times think they're ontheir fag break (very slow).
But if you wanna cheapo drink before a night on the town, then i'd say a must.
CAN'T WAIT UNTIL THE REFURB!!! Def need it!

Honestly, it's worth getting a better job just to be able to afford to drink somewhere else. If you can't do that, drink at home.
Dire.

Very typical `Spoons establishment. Cheap beer and locals looking for a fight. If you value a good pint and a friendly atmosphere then avoid the Tanners, and head straight to the quaker.

The Tanners Hall is a very popular pub , and it serves cheap beer and lager , along with a number of guest ales .
It is a spaceous dwelling , with its drinkers ranging from families to old couples and youngsters to avid drinkers . The pub is very popular at weekends , and also during the week with day time regulars and workers .
An ideal pub to enjoy a quiet pint , or indeed a night out with friends .

This pub has by far the best standards in the town and is run very well. Service can be slow at times but if you take the fact that it is also the busiest pub then you have to expect a longer wait. Once a pub known for "sorry not available" the management have turned that around and have even introduced a challenge to local brewers to make speciality brews. With a good selection of house and guest ales i always find it a pleasure to drink in the tanners. I have always found many fellow drinkers very quick to knock Wetherspoons but i believe some credit must be given where it is due
Keep up the good work

Typical spoons, probally best avoided on a Friday and Saturday night as its full of the brain dead "bottle of bud" brigade, otherwise food and beer quality are okay, typical spoons service, do they really employ staff from Mcdonalds as the service can sometimes be painfully slow, has the anoying policy of having all the pump clips facing the customer and when you ask for whats displayed you get told "sorry we only have Directors or smooth"

Typical wetherspoons, noisy, busy, dirty, run-down, dodgy drinks, Cheap.
Its an okay place if its not too busy and you want a few cheap drinks.

When they first opened this joint I thought it was a fabulous place, but now it is full of old drunks and dirty jeans.
I haven't been since they refused to serve me lunch because my wife was her work clothes. She is a dance teacher and therefore wears jogging bottoms. they young girl behind the bar informed me that they were not aloud to serve people wearing trackies!
seems they are aloud to serve old codgers in p*ss stained jeans though. And all of this after having been regulars for lunch for some time.
Despite this I still will give it a reasonable rating for it's location, size, range of drinks and cheap Wetherspoon's food.
