Permanently closed. Being converted to flats. Another one bites the dust.

Now boarded up.

Given up the ghost on real ale.
Now down to one occasional ale. Shame, this used to be a cracking pub.
It's become a rougher pub than it used to be. Last time I was in down to 2 real ales! Shame, used to be a really good boozer
Good ales on , a must on a north shields ale stroll
This place has now reverted to its former name of 'The Victoria'. Went in the other night and it had seven real ales on from a range of national and regional brewers.
Good to see the Tap open again and serving good, well kept beer. Not to mention the hottest crisps in the world!
Open again. Have been in a few times. The beer range could do with being more varied, but as this is still an Enterprise Inns house the selection is fairly limited. Really needs to advertise itself more to re-gain the customers it lost whilst closed.
Rumoured to be re-opening on the 15th October under new pub company. Will post new review when I've been in. Hopefully will be open full time now.
I can see a pattern developing here. Closed again.
Didn't stay boarded up for long. Open again. Went in on Saturday 28th Feb. Six ales on. Under new management.
pub is now boarded up ,shame spent many a happy couple of hours in it

Good to hear that this place is still doing well. Whilst always a great boozer with a very wide selection of ales, it seemed to be getting rather run-down. Hope the redecoration hasn't compromised the place's character.

Recently re-decorated to a high standard, the Tap and Spile is back to its best. Great range of real ale well kept and at a reasonable price. Things are looking up in Shields for real ale fans!
