Closed and boarded up with a large sign indicating planning permission granted for flats and houses. Another one bites the dust!

Visited this pub a couple of time and they are trying really hard, with regular live music on a Friday. There are new faces behind the bad and have started holding various events through the month. Locals are friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit or two this is, refreshingly, an old pub which may show in some decor choices but all in all worth a try before you dismiss it !

Dropped in last Sunday whilst on a longish walk. It was a bit like stepping back in time and the place looks very tired at best. Having said that, the welcome was friendly and the Courage Best in good order although that was the only beer available. Great old photos of the place on the wall which I like, but no atmosphere as the place was virtually empty.

I went there for a quiet pint and was impressed by the welcome afforded by the landlord. Although a locals pub I enjoyed being acknowledged as well as a friendly informative chat about the history of this old inn. The blazing open fire and the excellent range of real-ales ensures I will return. Let's hope the brewery will invest in the enthusiasm of the new tenants and restore this old inn to its former glory.

Good old pub food and not something fancy on your plate like you get with most pubs these days
i felt most welcome and the bar staff are nice and friendly

I am the new chef at The White Hart Public House in Old Woking. We cater for the local customers and we wish to extend our cooking to other areas and so I cook traditional pub food, plus a little bit of Fine Dining and now we have been lucky enough to have been able to put fresh locally caught game on our menu. Alot of our fresh ingredients are brought in by our regular customers and our suppliers are small run family businesses. i am trying to make a change to the food and bring the cuisine up to date and present the food in a way that is most appetising. The Special's board are changed almost twice a week and all the food is homemade and made and invented onsite. The White Hart was a brewery in and around the 16thC, we hold a lot of history and once you enter the building, you will realise that for yourself, from Jacobean beams to flagstone flooring in the cellar(if your lucky enough to catch a glimpse) and dated Inglenook fireplaces that are alight in the cold winter months. We offer an extensive priced menu and a very warm welcome.

Under new management who are making a big effort you need to support your local pubs or risk losing them

This has always been very much a locals pub,i have used it a number of times and always found the beer/lagers good decor. dated, not a place we would think of going to eat.

Not too bad, if you don't mind being in a pub full of dogs.

Worst Pub in the area. Tatty interior unfriendly if not a local. poor food and beer. Not worth a visit even on a pub crawl.

Village of the damned - complete with resident village idiots, not a place I'd go back to

Will give this pub a second opinion, is in fact friendlier than first thought. Full of dogs however, so things can't get too out of hand. But flavoured condoms and good songs on the jukebox for entertainment

Has private parties, makes me think of the pub as a local place for local people. Not very inviting place
