went in last Thursday, good range of guest ciders
six if I remember correctly, fairly busy but staff doing ok
when in Littlehampton always worth a punt

Had some time to spare before catching the train late on Sunday evening. Ordered a pint of Stongbow and a glass of Pinot Grigio. This was the first visit for a number of years. Place much improved, staff quite friendly, and the Wetherspoon burger list looks ok - will try next time

Its a W/spoons and all that goes with it
cheap beer , chatty customers , no sideways glances because you are not a local etc
I have had the grub several times, and no complaints.
As soon as I get off the train ( 10 mins walk from stn) ) in we go

Called in over New Year. Typical JDW- like them or loathe them or just tolerate them. Couldn't fault the beer or the service.....didn't eat.
|
Nice pub, cheap beer & food, all you would expect from a wetherspoons really, not much of an atmosphere. The staff were great though, Speedy service but still had time for a smile & a laugh.
|
My first choice in Littlehampton as a 'safe bet' being a Wetherspoons I pretty much new what to expect. The ale was up to scratch and the service was efficient. Some nice one liners coming from what I think was the manager to some of their regulars - made me giggle! Can't comment on peak times though as not been back.

Sadly not one of their better watering holes. Needs a good clean a lick of paint Service slow beer soso food when it does come is o.k. ish. Avoid friday nights at all costs.
|
Sorry Ordinary, I can't agree about this Spoons being a "proper local". To me it's a typical Wetherspoons joint atmosphere-free, the cheap beer and food not compensating for a total lack of character. The staff do their best but in my opinion they're on to a loser.

bit tatty.tables need cleaning more regularly
|
I took the nippers in here for lunch when we were down in Littlehampton the other day. The place looks a bit in need of a redecoration but otherwise I was pleased to note a) friendly staff; b) manager and locals with a good line in banter; c)ale in good nick; d)speedy service. One of those "Spoons" that manages to be a proper local, it would seem.

usually quite busy in here...beer was good and the food proportionable..good service by barman with his eye on the ball..always pay a visit in here wen im down here.
|
Not a bad spoons. Food ok, reasonable pricing on drinks. Gets busy on a Friday and Saturday evening.
|
Fairly decent spoons
|
Wasn't sure about this Wetherspoons on first glance, but we needed lunch and didn't fancy any of the other pubs as we had a child with us.
We left with no complaints, the bitter was upto scratch, the food was fine and the whole bill came to less than 20 for 4.
The only negative would be the girl behind the bar who chatted away to her mate while a queue steadily built at the bar.

ok i suppose, food passable, drink cheap which is always good but if they could have some sort of entertainment it would make the whole place better. for a weatherspoon though its actually one of the nicer ones ive come across.

This pub is a good Wetherspoons. Last time I was there in April had a smashing breakfast and a really good pint of Pedigree. Set me up for the day. Attentive staff, good service, excellent prices. Nice one!

It's a shame these people who post negative comments don't open their eyes - the staff are always asking for ID and the pub has more charachter than the sad offerings surrounding it - open your eyes and get rid of your perception of Wetherspoon pubs in some areas - this one is a local - a pub where the staff and managers talk to us it's also a pub in the town you can enter as you can see into it unlike the notably 'empty' nearby offerings - great choice of beers (proper beer!) a decent curry and steak - If I think somewhere is rubbish i say so BUT NOT THIS JDW PUB -

Usual characterless Wetherspoons beer barn. The cheap beers and passable food don't make up for a dull, dull experience.

cheap pub. Full of old men dribbling beer down their stained grey shirts, under-age girls, and now they allow children during the day, its full of 'saturday dads' trying to keep their brats quiet whilst also trying to get pissed. soul destroying really.
|
Average by Wetherspoons' standards, which means cr*p by everyone else's. Full of fat girls and blokes in 3/4 length trousers and vests. Change from 4 quid for 2 pints is always nice though!
|
Fantastic pub - great service and staff and management get involved with customers - nice mornings and evenings spent at this Wetherspoon pub - keep it up
|
Standard Wetherspoons fare. WSIWYG. Can get packed Fri - Sat evenings before they all decant to the Tower or House of Soul.
