Visted again on a football trip for pre game ales. The pub has had a makeover since last years visit. All looks very modern and a nautical theme as well. The bar in the same place and plenty of tvs. The ale was inch perfecrly kept. All Navigation ales plus if you bought 6 ales you got a free one. The service was excellent from the girls on the bar. They would come round and ask if anyone wanted a refill and sort you out with more ale.

Good pub to come if you are going to a Forest or County game and of course for the cricket

First visit to this pub.looks standard from the outside, but a nice layout inside with a square bar..decents ales on and an excellent selection of tap beers for lager drinkers too, seemed friendly, with footy fans mixing .so suited to all types of drinkers. recommended on a footy day out..plenty of choice of games to view on the tv too.

Lively Modern bar with the "Cheers" layout, real ale can be variable but has good intentions and local suppliers. live music and vibrant atmosphere make for a well run bar that respects its customers. A solid portfolio of bands that can sometimes have the place rarely kicking off.

Visited on a late Sunday afternoon - seems like a music-oriented place, perhaps more bar than pub, but decent enough with a couple of real ales and a nice riverside patio.

Being a Forest supporter, I love going to the South Bank for a pre-match pint. The atmosphere is always good.

Have been there in the evening when there was a live band on, & had a great time.

I haven't tried the real ales etc so I can't comment on that.

A good pub if you like football & music.

Just the sort of pub I like. Fairly busy, lots of Sky TV screens. Does not seem to attract some of the more dubious characters that frequent the Trent Bridge Inn nearby. My only criticism is the fact that one is not allowed to drink outside during the day due to some jobsworths bye-law.

ok, not the best beer in the world.

I was in Nottingham for a stag do, we dropped in for a few bevvies to kick the night off. We all had a goodtime in the South Bank, i got chatting to one of the Bar Maids, and subsequently will now be a regular visitor to Nottingham. So For me, this pub rocks!

As for the prices, jeez, get over it, come to london and pay the prices that i do, then youll realise that they are all good

Southbank have really gone down hill lately. With them just putting up there prices you can go to town and get a cheaper drink there. 3 for a single spirit and mixer & 3 for a pint!!! WTF I know that i just dont have the money to drink in there no more!! Thats a shame, ill be going to town for these prices now!!

Have to agree with views of previous reviewers. A class act. Great beer, pleasent staff, good food and all the TVs you'll ever need to watch the football and cricket.

Great pub with loads of big screens and dead handy for the Forest Ground and the Test Match cricket ground.

Booze is well-varied and not overly expensive. Popular with students and football fans
