Had a great evening with my club hiring out the skittle alley. Food was pre ordered for 20 people and was delivered to the alley with no hiccups. Beer was excellent, and overall the evening was agreat success. this is the second time we have used this pub, and will no doubt use it again,

What a cracking pub again, had heard it had gone downhill but on our Coach visit of 4/9/2010 the beers were in cracking form. Could have stayed in the garden far longer but our coach beckoned. Shame will give it longer next time we're passing 9/10.

Great Arundel Mild here, got talking to a bloke who has been drinking here since 1947. A real ale lovers paradise.

Down the end of a lane going nowehere. The beer was decent but it didn't quite have that local feeling of a pub to it. It's the sort of place you feel you could take ultra sensitive people to in the knowledge that nothing there would offend them.

Excellent pub for real ales. Seven - yes 7 - on hand pump and all fine condition. We kept drifting back there during our weeks holiday because we knew we could be guaranteed a good pint. Average food.

Ah, a cracking pub, with lovely views and good range of well-kept ale.
Check out the huge t'uppeny coin stack at the bar, got told how much it was worth, but forgot to make a mental note of it in the beer fug.
Well worth a visit.

Alan what to do, do you support Pompey and hope they beat WBA and hence reach the final considering Cup Final day falls on the same day as Yapton Beer Festival, or not.
A nice problem to have me thinks:)
Play Up Pompey

The Maypole is not easy to find and judging by the number of customers is very popular. Plenty of well kept beers but be a little wary of the food. Large quantities but a bit strange, the meat must have been on steroids.

Very friendly and welcoming pub. Does excellent real ale and even has folk singing on the third Sunday of each month! A true traditional British pub.

The high point for many on our little jolly to Dark Star and back especially Big Baz who was almost crying when he walked through the door he loves it so much. Think I had a couple of pints of Betty Stoggs but memory starting to fade at this point. Top notch pub, top notch regulars. Visit if you can

The above comments are quite true. In the last 4 years, over 800 different real ales have been on. There is also occasional general knowledge and music quiz's, always on a Sunday evening.

Excellent beer-orientated pub in the middle of the countryside (walkable from Barnham station, but it's a bit of a hike)

This is a pub. Not a restaurant. Not a health spa. The beer is just fab even the array of soft drinks are mind boggling.God bless the Arundel Mild
