A top 10 county pub, so sort out.
Fine old building. Small bar with Wadworths and a Wye Valley Butty Bach.
Nice sheltered courtyard around the back.
Decent enough boozer. Glad I came.

Agree that the Talbot is in a very nice old building. There are a few different rooms. The bar seems mainly for drinkers, whilst there is a more formal restaurant and there appeared to be an outdoor area. I'm not sure if this is a Wadworth pub. But they had 6X & Henry's IPA. The only none-Wadworth ale was Wye Valley Butty Bach. Come for the splendid interior and exterior.

Lovely black and white building. Various books and corners to sit around the bar.
Good selection of beer from nationals and locals including Wye Valley.

Eccentric...understated for him. The 6X was well fit, keep that alright, can't beat that fireplace when the weather is so cold.. No food this visit, other staff always A1, a big 9.

Totally agree with the other comments... We were actually staying at the Seven stars which is also recommended, but had a few lunchtime beers here. Wadworth Ales included Henry's Original IPA, Horizon and of course 6X. Bar is warm and friendly, Restaurant looked good too. Eccentric landlord... I will definately be back and may try the hotel this time.

Stayed a weekend just before christmas - love this town been returning for years - never been to the Talbot before. What a gem. The atmosphere is outstanding, lovely, buzzing, trad, just great, the breakfast is the best i can recall for along time - absolutely food heaven, and so much. Room was lovely got everything, bed comfy, newly decorated, v.clean, staff couldn't do enough. The wonky floors are out of this world - you don't get that in a designer pub, the floors must be older than the USA, ha ha. Matt and the staff kept a good bar, stuck with the Henry's PA kept excellent, be back in March. Parking can be a pain so. Rate it 9.5/10 The bar is set high...

I'm assuming this is the same as the other Talbot in the same street. Very friendly for a hotel bar, and good to see Wadworth's Small Beer (2.8%) available - especially if you're driving. Decent prices. Ledbury seems to be a good drinking town.

What a great place. Stayed here for 2 nights, the room was spacious very clean, comfortable and quiet. The food was very good and so was the service. It's a Waddies pub so the beers were mainly Waddies, but 3 ales on and in good condition. Good atmosphere and very welcoming. Only downside no parking.

My boyfriend enjoyed a wonderful stay here in this lovely pub and were really impressed by the value for money and friendly service. We'll definitely be back!

A good place to enjoy a bit of B&B! Good beer and dinner, good beds with good breakfast to follow all at reasonable prices.

Very warm welcombe, friendly helpful staff. The landlord is a real character - not many left - a true proffessional, makes you enjoy spending! The bar is comfortable and the building is amazing. You can feel the history oozing out of the walls! Didn't meet the ghost though.

17th Century hotel, where Parliamentarians and Royalists had a punch up in the Civil War, probably over the food prices :-) Having said that, the small, upmarket bar is still friendly with decent Wadsworth beer.
