Quaint old pub, in an even quainter street that's now been restored to its former glory since becoming a cul-de-sac. Handy for the station, friendly personal service, and good range of Shepherd Neame ales.

After the popular and long-standing Landlord Bob left in April 2013, the beer quality dived and regulars all left for pastures new. The replacement tenant gave up towards the end of 2013 and the pub stood empty for a while. NOW THE GOOD NEWS: new tenants Kate and Steve have tidied the place up and the beer is as good as it has ever been, absolutely top quality. Spitfire, Kent's Best and Whitstable Bay are normally available. As the footie loving regulars seem settled in the Waverley now, the emphasis is on a more genteel atmosphere, and very good food is available at reasonable prices. All the pub needs to make it work now is a few new customers, so "use it or lose it"!

Cannot believe it! Landlord has left after 17 years. First impressions of new regime are not good. Barman personable enough but the bitter(Kents Best) was way too cold and had debris in the bottom of the glass. I will give it another chance but if things dont improve its the Cobbett for me.

Very busy Saturday lunchtime as to be expected pre Farnham Beerex. Decent Shepherd Neame beers , but a bit expensive at 3.60 a pint for a whitstable bay. It remains though one of Farnham's better pubs.

Farnham seems to be full of Shepherd Neame pubs and quite how a Kentish brewery has pulled off this coup d'etat in a small town in Hampshire is a mystery to me. However, one of the pubs caught up in this is The Lamb, hidden down a backstreet and seemingly a long way from the centre of town.
The pub is sparsely decorated and when we arrived on a January Thursday lunchtime it was sparsely populated as well. The TV broadcast England's ignominious defeat to Pakistan from an empty stadium in Dubai to an empty pub. Still, the beer was good - I plumped for the Late Red - and the landlord was friendly.
Perhaps it's more popular in the evening at The Lamb. If it isn't, the future is bleak.

OK Sheps pub, Late Red (3.50), Kent's Best and Spitfire. Seemed like a friendly locals pub. Sky Sports showing football.
Good little pub. Landlord knows his business and does everything right, ie well kept beer, clean toilets and of course a friendly welcome
A friendly landlord, the kind you'd have confidence in. Pretty much exclusively Shepherd Neame, but it's a great beer and perfectly kept and served here. Otherwise, there is a steady food menu and a good local crowd who appear to make the most of what is on offer here.

Great little pub in Farnham. Tucked away down a side road. I've drunk in 'The Lamb' since 1983 (when it looked very different and you had to buy the landlords dog a pint to avoid getting bitten in the scroat!) and have never had a duff beer in here! Well worth finding.

Two big (and loud) screens seem to be permanently showing football, even when no-ones watchg it.
Although the pub can get a little cramped on a music night, in general its very good. They clearly make a good effort with the real ales in here, there were four of them on the night, with Spitfire, Kent Bitter, Late Red and Porter. So a good Shepherd Neame pub.
Overall probably the best pub in Farnham although I am not mad about S&N Ale. Friendly and very efficient Landlord and bar staff, well kept Ales and the best live music in the area.
Early Bird in fine form. The Shepherd Neame Best even better. Will be interested to see how the "atmosphere" changes when it has to go smoke free.
All real beers were up to scratch on a recent visit.

Nothing to add to the last few posts, only to say it can be noisy when the band's are on, great unless you want a quiet friday sup!
Good pub with good ale and excellent food. Doesn't show as much sport now due to the ludicrous price that Sky wants to charge, which is unfortunate. The bands that play are usually very good.
Very good town centre local. Live music on Friday nights on a regular basis. Lots of locals use this place on a regular basis which aids the good atmosphere. Beer quality is always very good. Can get a bit smokey though obviously not for much longer!
Good pub, beer is direct from the cask from the back of the bar, Spitfire how it should be, Bands most friday night
Good pub, nice ales and a good atmosphere on a friday night- almost always a band playing which is a good thing. Also a good place to go to avoid drunken college students.
