Was here for opening yesterday, or in fact slightly before. I hear that it gets packed out when there are games at White Hart Lane. So they've probably suffered whilst Tottenham are playing at Wembley. I was the only customer yesterday for opening. But the young barmaid was friendly and talkative. Redemption Hotspur was the solitary real ale. But I guess they get very little turnover when there is no football. The pub overlooks Bruce Castle Park.

Sadly no ales available on my visit because they had apparently ran out. Never-mind, this is one of the best pubs in Tottenham if you like a traditional community hub. Mix crowd and friendly staff. Piano player came in and bashed out some cockney numbers. Enjoyable pub experience. I'll certainly be back!

Pleased to see it's a community pub, bit of a mish mash of decor. Woeful poorly kept Redemption Hopspur when I visited - maybe I was unlucky.

Reborn as a community pub, Redemption beers in good nick. Bike, dog and child friendly, plans for food in the future. Worth a visit.

Open again, tastefully redecorated but still like a proper pub. Loads of Spurs stuff on the walls. Staff were very welcoming. Green King IPA is the ale

i used to drink at this pub, loved it, i remember when i was a kid did hear about the owner lady being particular who she let in her pub.. i used to sit on the wall opposite with my friends on a summers day..was purrrrrfect! I did visit this pub a few years ago...still the same loved it!! and not forgetting was a good pint.

Straightforward boozer. Always busy on when Spurs are at home. London Pride had made a comeback last time I was in, and was kept well.

i have drank and also at times worked in this pub and i can quite honestly say that i no every person man woman and child that step through its doors. i have read the comments posted from other people on this forum and i can serously recomend this public house the staff and regulars are all house trained and there is absolutly no NF element or connections what so ever. this is a good honest local pub where good honest people who live nearby go after a hard days work all are welcome regardless if your a local or not

I always heard this was an NF pub when I was little. Been in there a few times in the last few years. Everyone seemed very cool to me every time I've been there. Clean glasses.

Does anyone every remember the dog called Smokey that the old owners had. It would be great to hear from you. We're going back 25 years now.

Hello anon, thought I'd just mention that at least 3 of the bar staff are black so I don't think you'll get ethnic group-themed hostility from them, and indeed the big plus (apart from the nice location) about this place is the friendly and efficient service. This used to be my regular before and after Spurs matches - getting served straight away, even from 3 rows back, is always welcome.
However, the back room used to be a great place to sit and watch an earlier match etc. but the TV there has been broken for I think around 2 years and they put a big pool table in, so now there's only 3 tables there to sit at, all crammed together, one of them next to the gents which usually stinks. They even took down the pictures of the Spurs players!
I'm not so qualified to comment on non-match days, but when the Spurs fans leave you realise some of the regulars are quite burberrytastic and boasting about some random acts of violence - although I may be exaggerating a bit there... basically it used to be a really nice place, not so sure now.

Just moved to the area....heard some rather scarey stories about this pub....at the risk of being offensive, i was told that its not particularly friendly to the...lets say...."ethnic groups"?....and also heard thats its the kind of "if we dont know you, we dont like you" kind of place?..... This alone has made me very wary of going there....can anyone PLEASE reassure me that this isnt true?..... its only 5 mins away from me, so would love it to be my new local!

Good pub - hard to come by in Tottenham. Sometimes sells London Pride, though this seems to be seen less often recently. Nice little beer garden and very handy for the beautiful Bruce Castle Park opposite. Better than most pubs near the Spurs ground, and full of small portraits of Spurs stars. Popular with White Van Man!

Brilliant, proper pub.
No frills, no gimics. Ideal as a meeting point before and after a Spurs game.
Pride and Guinness are note worthy, as are the fresh rolls/sandwiches on matchdays.
Definitely worth a short trip.

Overlooks Bruce Castle Park. Very much a 'local' - but taken over by Spurs supps. on home match days (about 300 metres from 'White Hart Lane' football ground Tel No. 0208 880 9495
