Good looking pub in a busy neighborhood. Solid pour of Pride. Had lunch there by myself and enjoyed the chicken and leek pie quite a bit. Returned a few days later and had the most abysmal burger in the history of food. Might have been made with floor sweepings. Bar staff at lunch were of the 'who cares' variety. Back room waitstaff for dinner much better. Too bad she had to bring out that burger. Brrr..I get chills just thinking about it.

Part of a chain, with all that entails for conformity. Bengal Lancer was okay but expensive. It caters for tourists and visitors to the exhibition centre; this isn't the sort of pub for a cosy fireside session with friends. It's not as good as the Courtfield but it's in the GBG because it's the Blackbird's turn this year.,
a well run pub, a little pricy but that goes with the area,
Lovely staff, who know how to pour a pint (unlike The Courtfield). 8.20 for a pint of Aspalls and a pint of Pride! The prices reminded us that we were in the Kensington area, as the tattiness of Earls Court did make us forget. 6/10 as very pricey.
Fairly average Fuller's pub with the typical range. Was there in Feb. and hoping for Jack Frost or Porter on the pump but no such luck. Food was decent.
Tried to get in after leaving the GBBF on Friday evening, but it was rammed.
Fullers Ale & Pie House not far from the tube station in Earl's Court. On a Saturday morning at 11am, it was fairly quiet despite the offer of breakfast from 8:30am. The main bar has red walls and plenty of dark wood with some large impressive columns. Large windows overlook Earl's Court Road. Black and white pictures of London line the walls. There is also a smaller rear bar. Fullers beers on offer were ESB, Discovery, London Pride & Chiswick. In addtion, bottled beers included London Porter & Golden Pride. The cider range was limited to Strongbow & Bulmers. But a large collection of whiskies is promoted. Whilst breakfast appeared to finish at 11 disappointing some visitors, lunch had started with the pub's Blackbird House Pie (venison-based) promoted. I didn't find anything particularly special about this pub, and I must say I prefer the Courtfield a few doors up.
Fullers pub serving a decent range of their beers in good condition.
I was in here last week on a rainy afternoon. The service was good and very attentive.

Not a bad boozer in the desert which is Earls Court. I was only there as I was on business in the area, not really a holiday destination.
London pride and ESB both well kept and my drinking buddy liked the Leffe on draught. Didn't try the food, but it looked edible.
The staff seem polite and coped really well with the mix of Italian and Chelsea fans following the victory by the chosen one.
Worth a visit if you are stranded in EC sometime.

Large single room pub with a smaller area at the rear popular with diners. Can get quite busy and the tables can soon go. Not a problem if you're drinking, but we would have eaten there if we could have got a table. Bar staff were pretty clueless with no idea that I was waiting even though they were not serving anyone else. To be fair though, the manager clocked what was happening, apologised, said they were new, and got one of them on to me ASAP. Beers were London Pride, Chiswick, ESB and Discovery. It looks as though they also do Lancer although this was off when we visited. The only cider was Strongbow unfortunately.

Close to Earls Ct tube, this is a Fuller's Ale and Pie conversion from a former bank premises. The interior is quite impressive and belies it's recent change of use. One large area winds around a central horseshoe bar. There are some rather perfunctory screens marked "Pies" and "Beers", but the high ceiling has a preserved cornice, an elaborate column by the bar provides support, and old cast iron radiators keep the place warm. Flooring is a mix, with wood and tiles in the main area, and a rear dining section has carpet. A mix of seating includes some high tables with stools. All Fuller's current range on, I tried the new Bengal Lancer IPA which was pleasant but at the seemingly local going rate of 3.55 far too expensive (see my review of the nearby Courtfield).
My local for the two years I lived across the street. Very lively debate with a friendly staff. worth a visit if you are in the area, can't wait to return to London and visit.
half decent boozer - better than the other fullers ale and pie houses i've been in. very good pint of pride, interesting interior, pleasant enough crowd. only down side is that, when not busy, the staff tend to gather on one side of the horseshoe shaped bar. this means that if you happen to be on the other side you can struggle to get their attention without yelling "shop!".
Nice friendly pub.Good beer & nice staff. Food is a little pricey but they do a very reasonable chip butty. Real English food!
For a pub basically opposite a tube station this Fullers ale and pie house is a top draw traditional feel boozer with a full range of Fullers beers available.
I found the barman that served me to be extremely welcoming and it was nice to have a brief conversation with him rather than just having my pint slopped over the bar which is all too common in London these days.
This place is well worth a visit if passing through Earls Court.
A decent, dependable Fuller's Ale & Pie house. Late-ish on Saturday evening, when many places would have door staff and a bit of atmosphere, the Blackbird offered a calm and pleasant experience. Excellent pint of Pride, and handy for Earls Court station.
What's this we hear? Chip butties on the menu!
Top rate boozer. Usually go before/after football (tempted to go during sometimes!) good beer, landlord is a good bloke. They really need to put chip butties on the menu as we can't all afford the pies and beer as well! Cheers and come on you Blues!!
Great place to go before & after the football. Food is OK a beers are well kept.Bar staff are friendly & service is quick & polite.
Decent Fullers ale and pie house, nice surroundings (obv used to be a bank) and well kept stock Fullers ales - Pride, ESB, Chiswick, Discovery. Doesn't seem to get the seasonal beers on tap which is a shame. Ate here and the pies do the job, big and tasty.
Fullers now have Scarsdale Tavern and Hereford arms both within 10 mins walk of here though and would opt for one of them first.
Not a bad pub, not somewhere I'd travel to visit, but was staying just across the road so had an hour to spare, quite expensive if I remember rightly, but it is that there London, most pubs have barstaff who speak little English so don't expect any help with recommendations, then again that's proabably my fault for a lack of 'Camra' man knowledge.
not a place to linger for long periods
Smallish Fullers pub and food unusually not served all day, but Chiswick wasn't bad (am I the only one who drinks it ?). OK.
It's a relatively new place this despite appearances - I'm guessing not more than 10 or 12 years old. I think it used to be a Barclays.
To be frank I'm not sure why Fullers bothered with this - it's nowhere near the league of the King Head and while somewhat better than the Courtfield is not good enough to make a mark
It's ok to meet someone for a quick one but not much else
Fullers pub. 9 casks on with 4 different Fullers ales between them - Chiswick, Discovery, Pride and ESB.
This is typical Fullers Ale 7 Pie bank conversion done in 1994. A solid, respectable pub - very British and very dignified. Great beers, great pies and very good prices!
Rating 7.
Best pub on Earls Court road - which I know isn't saying much. Been a few times Fullers ESB is so fresh - top notch and the quality probably matches the best that I've ever seen for a Fullers pub. Didn't eat. Service was decent. Crowd was ok/pretty friendly. I took the closest to the pin game for 3 quid last week.
I agree with the food review from Feb 08. I ate there recently and it was dire. There's a few interesting locals/drunks that frequent the place though.

Very unfriendly staff, assistant manager threatened one of our group - won't be going there again....shame really because the beer was very good.
More expensive drinks than your average pub, they managed to screw up two of our food orders (out of three - bad odds huh?), giving meat dishes when vegetarian ones had been ordered. Additionally the quality of their food is terrible, the small amount of meat within their house pie is well surrounded by fat and gristle. Also the tables were dirty.
I think the lack of depth and detail in any of the previous reports sums the Blackbird up quite nicely. Its a fairly attractive but unremarkable Fullers pub serving Fullers beers and standard pub grub. Probably one of the better pubs in the immediate area.
Remains a good fullers pub, with good range of Fullers drinks + snacks
Nice and clean. Helpful staff. Prices OK.
Went in on spec when visiting the big recently. Not a big fan of Fullers beers but had a pint of ESB which you never see on draught down my way. Superb - and a nice pub.
Many's the time I've been here - the staff have always been civil and helpful, it always feels lived in and you get a good range of pints and some tasty food.
Had a good few beers here. Not particularly overpriced compared to some in London. Friendly enough staff and plenty of room although it was a Wednes/Thursday night. All in all compared to some not bad.
Quite a few of the volunteers from the Great British Beer Festival in here. I'm guessing it's something to do with the beer. Very crowded
Being a Fullers pub no doubt a lot of people shall come here for the beer, no london porter at the moment however, still decent alternatives
As good a pub as you'll find in Earl's Court on a Sauturday afternoon. A nice selection of beers (Honeydew was most welcome), and good service.
Jumped in for a quick pint of ESB at about 12.30 on a Sunday. Pleasant enough Fullers pub. Interior is saved from being too open by the addition of some partitions between tables by the large front windows. Barman was friendly enough. Useful to know this is right by Earls Court station, seems dependable.

dependable place for a quick pint, food is not bad but stupidly over priced to snare unwary tourists i guess.
Dont expect normal customer service from the manager here. Cashier accidently charged my friend 50 too much but he claimed it was our fault! unwilling to give the cash straight back and NO appologies. Still trying to get the cash back after a week and a half!
My steak & stilton pie was fantastic!
Not too bad. There's a nice corner area where they have candles and it can feel quite cosy. Reliable standby in the area.
You go to Earls Court get split up from your mates. What else but to meet up in here with a good pint a Fullers. Food looks a tad expensive though
Well kept Fullers ales and friendly staff, so a good place to kill time whilst waiting for a train/a mate. I probably wouldn't recommend it for a session but I tend to avoid Earls Court anyway as it's an utter dive. Probably the best you'll do near the station (Warwick Rd entrance), and a million times better than the Courtfield a couple of doors down the road (shudder)..
I did not really like The Blackbird. Few brandes of beer, not very clean toilets, sort of boring furniture...
I was here last saturday `til monday. I just wanted to say that the staff was so nice. and I`ll promise I`ll be back soon. So Andy, Jay, Jason and the boss if you are on this page: Hello!! One of the girl from Norway!

Was here in 99' and it was cosy and friendly. The Blackbird pies are nice.

I was here in 1995 and the food was fine and the barkeep very nice. Good service and nice folks and customers. Made to feel at home. Fair prices as well. My "local" pub visiting family on Barkston Gardens Road.

Impeccably clean and tidy pub (I didn't inspect the toilets though) with Fuller's real ales in excellent condition.
I made the Blackbird "my" pub while in London last month. The staff was very friendly, as were the regular customers. Good food, great beer. A very nice, relaxing place to hang out after a busy day site-seeing.

When in London for a week I discovered this pub and made it a point to visit it for a couple hours each night. Great food and service, moderately priced and the locals are extremely friendly and outgoing. Everything a traveler would expect in a neighborhood pub.

Small, trendy pub with attitude and "atmosphere" and friendly staff. Excellent range of beers. Meals are great value with good menu selection, served hot and fast.
uninspiring decor, friendly staff, worth going through to "garden" at back- if you're lucky you might find a table, and if you're even luckier you might find a chair, or two. toilets and stairs leading down to them have the unmistakeble "damp pub toilet" aroma that suggests neglect and the need for detox.

I always make it a point to visit the Blackbird for lunch when in London. Friendly staff - Great beers and good food served fast and in nice portions.
