Paid a late-afternoon visit this afternoon. I'm from outside the area (Wendover/Aylesbury), and my friends who live around the corner had commented on the refurb and the quality of the food. We'd already eaten, but popped in for a couple of drinks and a chinwag.
Hats off to Richard and Teri - in its previous guise, I'd never have dreamed of drinking here. But it has been transformed into a thoroughly decent put. Four ales on - 3 usual suspects (GK IPA / London Pride / Bombardier), and one unusual guest (Butcombe Gold).
We visit the area quite a lot, and I'm over the moon that there's a decent local pub now. Best of luck - here's hoping it thrives.

Hello to all
Just would like to say well done Richard & Teri, This place looks perfect. not like the s***t Hole it was before. Good luck and may all goes well for you both.

Its crap, crap, crap! Locals rule ok? Ifyou want to stand waiting for very average beer and lager, served by disinterested staff while locals block the bar..then come to this pub. Not recommended for the average sentient being.

A nice little pub. It has quite a few locals but they are all friendly. There is no feeling of entering and the clock stops as the door opens. Very friendly manager as well. Always seems happy to chat. A very pleasent new years eve spent here. They even gave champagen to all at 12am with no entrance charge. If you are in the area I would recommend a visit.

WHAT A HELL HOLE Your feet stick to the carpet when you walk i went to the bar and had to wait 10 minutes to get a drink and that was rough its not as if it was busy either then when i did get served by the short fat bloke he was quite rude and told me if i didnt like it then f##k off and dont ever go in the toilets you might catch somethink off the seat it should be due a visit by the health and safty people in my oppnion

"But what else has it got, young drinkers who have 3 pints and want to take on the world? Attitude involving young drinkers, dreary inside and the atmosphere of a Gnat being cremated."
That's how we like it. Best pub in Leighton Buzzard. I was there last night and gangster's paradise came on the jukebox. (although to be fair Shania Twain did too) Win.

Nice place to watch football and to meet people. The staff and owners are very friendly. The beer is not brilliant though which is why I usually go for the bottled stuff.

Decent enough boozer, with some character. good for watching the footy. Back room with the pool tables seems "pro-local". Friendly staff

This pub has gone through some changes over the years. Once a friendly local then a dodgy kiddies bar, now something in between the two. At least it serves draught bitter again. Large pool room out back and friendly staff make it worth a look if you cant stand another night of noise and mayhem in the town centre. Watch out for the resident snake.
