This pub appears to be one of the roughest in Crewe. There were certainly a few characters in on my Sunday evening visit. It's a Robinsons house that seemed to have two ales - Unicorn & Dizzy Blonde. Although one of the pumpclips was half turned (I don't recall which) and may have been off. Looks promising from the outside. But not worth venturing in.

I was in here one Friday night maybe September 2015. Beer was ok, I was between trains, but when I asked about food, they went out of their way to make me something ( I was catching sleeper to Scotland at midnight, and it was latte on.So they were friendly, beer was fine, and I'd definitely go again.

Robinsons pub in the town centre which has recently reopened after being closed for a couple of years. Very much an old-style traditional local. Prior to my recent visit, I hadn’t been in for 25 years – and would be hard pushed to spot any changes since ! [ Except for the big screen sports TVs of course ]
There were two Robinsons beers on tap (a third handpump was out of use). I tried the Wizard which was reasonable. I think they are missing a trick here, because it is halfway between the two premier “real-ale” pubs in town (Hops and Borough Arms) and they would surely get more passing trade if they had a more adventurous beer range.
Anyway, there are many of the traditional pub games available, pool table, darts and some tables set up for cribbage scoring. Plus wallpaper in one section consisting of pages from old racing papers (!), plus old racing prints on the walls there and elsewhere.
There were also notices advertising “starter or dessert for 5p” – but this was the only indication that they did found, as couldn’t see any menus anywhere. However, from what was being delivered to other customers, I can tell you that soup and bowls of chips are included !

Was closed for 2 years, but has now reopened. Not been in yet, but will report back when I've done so.

I was in on lunchtime Nov 8th - only the one beer Unicorn on, and about 80 pints left to drink as the pub was closing Sunday night Nov 10th.

Was going to go in but noticed that the lease is up for sale so went elsewhere.

In here Friday and very nice little boozer it is too. Comfy seats with wooden and stone floor. There is some background music playing and a TV showing a news programme. They also have a pool table but surprisingly no dart board. It’s just after 2.00 pm and only one other customer is present. There are 4 hand pulls but only 3 are in use for Robinsons ales. I try a pint of the Double Hop for £2.65 which is very nice.

Town center Robinsons pub, built in the ruabon red brick like most of old Crewe is. Three cask ales on, good atmosphere, friendly and welcoming. Live music on many weekends. Always a good story to be told when you talk to the old regulars in here.

Very welcoming bar serving upto 3 cask ales and various traditional bottled beers.

Red-brick town centre Robbies' pub, large but with some character preserved. It's one opened-out horseshoe around the central bar but the furnishings are pleasingly traditional, with green leather seating, dark wood and the remains of some etched glass divides. The beer choice was better than some Robbies' pubs, with Unicorn, Old Stockport, Dragon Fire and Dizzy Blonde avaiable. The Blonde was well-kept. It was busy on a Saturday afternoon and a boisterous, 'laddish' atmospjere prevailed to be honest, with football and testosterone in high quantities. It was OK in here but not sure I'll return in a hurry.

Popped in here on Friday afternoon and was greeted by a friendly barman and a nice selection of ales. Nice interior, would come back when in the area.

Decent little town centre pub. Definitely worth a pint or two if you're on a crawl.

went in once about two years ago and felt very uncomfortable. may have changed now of course!

An interesting place, most noted for its Robinsons in summer, and Old Tom in winter. Its a regs pub with a position to catch the passer by or the determined pub crawler.

This pub is something of an Oasis in the centre of Crewe.
A classic Robinsons town centre "boozer" that has not been spoiled by it's refit (probably 5 years ago) as many of the original fittings were reused as part of a very thoughtful and sympathetic change which suits pretty much anyone except possibly teen drinkers - it's rare to see anyone under about 25 in the bar.
Robbies seems to be a bit difficult to keep with little middle ground between a perfect pint and something quite awful, but I've never tasted a pint that wasn't at least acceptable here - and often it's very good indeed.
It's just a shame there's no food - a "light" menu, say bowls of chips or a sandwich selection would be very nice at lunchtime.
Compared to the other pubs in the town centre this has to be first port of call.

Town centre pub used by all types in Crewe. Beers are well kept. This pub, I tend to find, is never dull but at the same time never too packed ether.
