This pub is something of an Oasis in the centre of Crewe.
A classic Robinsons town centre "boozer" that has not been spoiled by it's refit (probably 5 years ago) as many of the original fittings were reused as part of a very thoughtful and sympathetic change which suits pretty much anyone except possibly teen drinkers - it's rare to see anyone under about 25 in the bar.
Robbies seems to be a bit difficult to keep with little middle ground between a perfect pint and something quite awful, but I've never tasted a pint that wasn't at least acceptable here - and often it's very good indeed.
It's just a shame there's no food - a "light" menu, say bowls of chips or a sandwich selection would be very nice at lunchtime.
Compared to the other pubs in the town centre this has to be first port of call.

Fine selection of well kept beers and well worth a visit - it's just a shame that the amience is more your nan's living room than pub - such is life!
