Just Doombar, but perfectly drinkable. Sort of two bars, darts, Pool & juke box in what was once the public bar.OK pub.

After our visit to the oasis that was The Moonraker we came in here just after 5.15 on a Saturday night for a few beers.
Very welcoming landlord, 2 well kept ales on tap and the 3 pints I had were excellent.
There was a birthday party being set up in the back room.
A very pleasant pub and one I will visit again when at Three Bridges for football.

This was always a Brickwoods house. The Locomotive was the Watneys one with beers from Tamplins brewery in Brighton.
This used to be the grottiest of the Three Bridges pubs, now the best but that is not saying much. Two handpumps for Harvey's bitter.

Watney's tied House!!? Are the deliveries by Sentinel Steam Lorry and does a pint cost two shillings? Next you'll be telling us smoking is only allowed in the tap room.
|
Good two bar twon pub with an off-licence. Basic public bar, serving good home made sandwiches, little more up market saloon bar, sans snug. As a Watneys tied house, Stag & Tamplins are the order of the day and although these arne't the greatest of beers (for that you need the White Hart and Harveys in the High Street), they are well kept and served well here.

Methinks Chris Hall is telling Lies as The Plough CLOSED on Sunday 06.01.2008 when this review was posted,Richard is no longer the Landlord, and a Notice on the Door informs potential Visitors that the Pub is Closed for Refurbishment..I suggest that Chris gets His Facts Correct Before posting anymore Duff Information.

6.1.08 Best value food around and good quality for the price. Ham, eggs and chips 4.25. I go there late afternoon after work sometimes with a couple of workmates, always friendly. Don't have the peas, the're like bullets and the service is a bit slow but it is worth waiting for if you want a cheap decent meal. Daily reduced price specials. Richard the landlord is very pleasant but he's always working hard in the kitchen so you don't often see him. I invented a new film tranfer system whilst having a drink at this pub a few years ago which has given me a very nice lifestyle thank you. Never been there in the evening. Chris Hall

My boyfriend and I sometimes pop in here if the Fox is busy on a Friday night. Its ok but it is full of young chavs. After speaking to the bar manager one afternoon he admitted that they do have a lot of trouble there at weekends because they let these young guys drink themselves into a stupor because they spend loads of money.

I WAS HORRIFIED TO SEE SOMEONE SLATE THE PUB SO BAD. IT SHOWS THEY ARE NOT A REGULER AS THEY WOULD NO BETTER. IT IS A QUITE LOCAL MANS PUB WITH GREAT STAFF AND MANAGEMENT. THE PUB IS NOT FULL OF WHAT THE LAST PERSON WROTE AND IF IT WAS AS BAD HE WOULDNT HAVE CAME IN. IT WELCOMES YOUNG CHILDREN AS LONG AS THEY ARE LOOKED AFTER PROPERLY AND THEY DO NOT JUDGE PEOPLE BY FACE VALUE. THE STAFF REGUALLY ASK FOR ID SO IT IS NOT FULL OF YOUNG PEOPLE. THE ENTERTAINMENT IS GOOD AND CATERS FOR ALL AGES. NEXT TIME ANYONE VISITS CRAWLEY COME SEE FOR YOURSELF. ALSO HAS A LOVELY MENU TO CHOSE FROM IF YOUR FEELING HUNGRY

Pick your night and be entertained by Ali G style kids, do as you likies or mothers and their babies.
