My favourite pub in town, and a welcome respite from the mother in law's! Good selection of ales, friendly staff and locals, and as noted elsewhere the fish add a touch of class. They even put Wales rugby on one tv for me one evening. Recommended.

In here for the first time for a few years and a bit shocked by the lack of other drinkers. This place was always busy when I was here in the past. Only six others present and it's just after 2 on a Saturday afternoon. 6 hand pulls split 3/3 on both sides of the bar. I had a pint of Harveys BB @ £3.70 which was ok but not tip top.

Traditional boozer, clean, nice beer, friendly staff and so much better than anything else in this part of Hove. Love the live jazz and the lovely fishes in the aquarium.
Had a couple of nice beers in here. Seemed a nice traditionalpub.

I visited this pub one dreary January afternoon. What a diamond a live jazz band was playing. Not that trad jazz stuff from the late 50s, early 60s. Nor that modern moody with a bunch of numpties sounding as though they havent got a tune between them. This was that Hot Paris stuff. I wouldnt pay to hear it, but for free its ace. Beer is reasonably priced and the pub aint too bad on non-music days.

This is a proper pub, a boozer. It's a community pub where you get a real mix of real people. I love the Albion and bought my flat because it was near it. Not trendy, just real.
Decent boozer, always lively anytime of the day, staff are friendly, and deffo worth a visit, always good loud party music and good atmosphere.
Possibly the most unfriendly pub in Hove. As a casual visitor, you can almost feel people's eyes trying to bore holes into your back - and that's just the staff
We enjoyed a brill Thai meal in here a few weeks ago when we were staying in Hove, much better than some restaurants we have been in. The Harveys Bitter was in good nick, the pub was clean, no sign of any problems with staff or drinkers
They are serving thai food now in the evening and also they started doing a delivery as well and you can get 10% off when you buy takeaway for collection . Thai staffs are very friendly and very kind.
Jenny & Katha this is the wrong pub to work for the manager is a racist bastard. Excuse my French !!! There is a billion places to work than that dungeon.
This is a pub is the filthiest pub I have ever been into. The People all look like brothers and sisters and as for there beer it tastes watered down. Can easily be rated England's top imbred pub. If you not related in any way to the staff forget been served . I'm typing this on my i-phone and i have been here for three days still no luck on the beer.

Just started doing Thai food here in the evenings. Real good quality food with a Thai chef - very, very nice. Beers are well kept and landlord and staff very friendly.
Friends of mine have been threatened in here for being 'gay'. They weren't but hardly the point.
Sport orientated, well kept beers.
Just the ticket. A lively boozer, good beer, lots of chavs and chavvesses having a good old fashioned friendly drink.
Excellent pub - memorable for a having a fishtank within one of the supporting columns. The Timothy Taylor's Landlord was in near perfect form and I tried a Harveys and that was well-kept too. Lots of screens showing every sport under the Sun.
It sells wine on tap - are any further words needed?
Bit of a Boozers Boozer. But if you're up for a bloody good booze then get on down there. Not a bad place for a Saturday Afternoon Booze in the winter time. You'll never bump into any birds worth chatting up, but in a way thats one of the reasons to get yourself down there.
Classic old school boozer and agree with the comment that the decor dates back to the 1970's!!! - so if that's your thing you'll like this place

Usually full of locals. The fact that they have Timothy Taylor's on tap makes it worth a visit.
An ok place to drink if you want to mind your own business in the afternoon. Bit of a Geezers Boozer on a Friday/Saturday night - probably a good place to strike a dodgy deal. Oh and the Fruit machines never seem to pay out - ever!
Landlords a bit of a misery, not very envolved in ' serving customers ' still the same 35 yrs old tatty furniture, gets most of its customers from its central location and like most pubs- cant serve a top notch pint o Guiness, A dress code is in effect. " no u dont have to were a dress " Toilets smell and are in a bad location , " O and so's that table i wouldnt sit their if i were u " !
Good place to hide from the wife and have a quiet pint when she's off shopping. Good beer with friendly staff and customers.
A decent, unpretentious boozer with a deceptively spacious interior. Serves a good pint of Harvey's, and you can't ask for more than that.
Old school - actually not so good for footy as landlord likes rugby and keeps volume turned down low. Beers ok, but nothing more. Good fish tank to hide behind.

Just a great traditional pub with a friendly crowd. Excellent for big footie games. My wife calls it the old mans pub, but thats what i like about it (i'm 41). No burnt umber paint and bleached wood!
