Looked at using the venue for a weekly fetish night for Wellingborough but so terribly cold. Water leak damaged ceilings and basically the place needs gutting and revamping.
Problem is until the owners acknowledge the lad that died outside with perhaps some little mini gathering / memorial evening instead of pretending it never happened, it will never be a popular place as hundreds of the town folks shun it.
A really tough venue for someone buying the leasehold unawares.

Now closed - and not before time, in my humble opinion! Having said that, I never went there after the first couple of visits, simply because it wasn't my kind of place. Lager wall to wall, and a quite lary atmosphere. Regular fights, and bouncers on the door with those Madonna style microphones. Fights breaking out rasonably regularly, and more than one actual killing on the street outside. Oh... and the Christmas decorations including fully bauballed tree went up in September last year. Nice!

terrible place!! have been a few times - never without incident - always fights/ things stolen - the last time 3 of my friends had their coats stolen and manager claims cctv broken and my freinds purse stolen and credit card used. will never go back

Really good..specially on thurs nights. But yeh as someone else said...MIND THE STAIRS!!!

My husband and I went for lunch today Sunday 28th November.Despite having been many times before,this time the dining area was extremely cold with cold air blowing.What's more when my lunch arrived it was cold(a full Sunday Lunch).Admittedly when I asked for it to be re-heated it was but then the edges were all dried up!,and there was no horseradish sauce to be had!My husbands lunch of steak and chips was fine.I didnt complain at the time because he hates any fuss!!

Well i work there! i think its a wicked place to be and i love the pub. its even better when im going out drinking and seeing all my work mates working. its dead funny.

id rate this pub 2/10 because of the carpet and the smell. it was good to start off with but the staff need more customer service skills, especially the old bloke...pat! (manager)

Quite simply, it's great! Me and my workmates go there to get rat-arsed. Good selection of 80's music and selections of beer.
