A modern feel pub but with a good selection of well kept cask ales - 6 available out of 7 on my visit. Worth a visit if you're in the area - just opposite the restaurants on Leopold Square.

Stopped in for one on Saturday night. Had I seen it from the outside in daylight I wouldn't have imagined it would have had a range of ales on, as it looked very new and identikit chain bar-esque from the outside. Can't say it felt sterile inside due to the full-on Hallowe'en decorations. Music was a bit loud for me, though. Quite a few seats at the bar level, with the bar against the back left-hand wall as you come in, with a few more tables and chairs downstairs. Decent range of ales on tap including Abbeydale, O'Hanlons and a couple of Hallowe'eny brews. Went for one of them and tasted fine. A decent offering as city centre pubs go.

I agree with the last review, that this pub is a little sterile, and like many other city centre 'bars', however, despite it being a Greene King pub, they do offer a good selection of real ales, some from smaller breweries. Don't go out of your way to visit, but if you are nearby, you'll get a decent pint here and its pleasant enough.

Had an Abbeydale that was turning but I couldn't be bothered to argue the toss. Sterile Greene King pub.

GK pub with a lovely comfy interior & plenty of places to sit. Usual range of GK beers plus 2 from Abbeydale. Good central location & worth a visit.

A fantsatic Greene King pub. The Guiness is one of the best I've had as is the Abbot Ale. A great atmosphere inside, usually very busy which I think adds to the ambience. Abbeydale beers aer the usual guests, I recommend the Abbott or Speckled Hen if not a fan of Abeydale. Usually great service. Only once been disappointed with this pub when they served me a Speckled Hen that was so off it was practically vinegar. Despite that, stop here for a lovely Abbott in it's own glass.

A great little bar in the centre of Sheffield with a good range of beers. I visited on Saturdat and they had Abbeydale Breweries Brimstone on which was really good. Friendly service and not too expensive.

as said. traditionally styled town pub. upper floor with bar, lower floor leading into orchard square shopping arcade. chalk board of meals & guest ales. 3-4 cask ales on. GK & others. meals during day. *** verdict: a nice traditional real-ale bar, but slightly expensive. as is the usual for GK?. verdict : 7

Split level purpose built Greene King pub in a pedestrianised part of Sheffields shopping centre.
It has that comfortable, generic style that city centre pubs have that are trying to be all things to all men - or in this case thirsty and hungry shoppers and office workers in need of lunchtime sustenance.
It offers cheap meal deals - 2 for 9 on selected dishes.
Perhaps surprisingly, it proudly displays Cask Marque accreditation and, as well as GK Abbot and IPA ( at 2.55 and 2.35p respectively ), it had other non-GK beers on from Elgoods and Everards.
As pubs like this go, I was reasonably impressed with the friendly and efficient staff and the reasonable value food. The beer was on form as well.
If you're looking for a pub lunch in the City Centre, you could do worse than seek this pub out.
Finally, whilst Greene King is not everybody's favourite pub company by a long chalk, I am pleased to be able to report that the pub was doing noticeably more trade than the All Bar One establishment next door.

Pretty good, nice choice of well kept beer. A little on the pricey side, but very convenient city centre location.

Went in at 5.45 on Saturday 12/1 after the football. Pub bust but was able to sit downstairs in peace and quiet. Usual range of GK beers plus a number of guests. York Terrier excellent

Was in here yesterday, had the usual suspects on. Decent beer prices aren't bad for the city centre.
|
Called in rather early, so found it quiet with little atmosphere for a city centre pub by the shops, but the beer condition could not be faulted.

Nice pub, clueless barmaids.

This pub is now called The Museum, which is what it was called originally well before Orchard Square Shopping Centre had even been thought of. This is a reasonable pub which always seems to be busy. It has a small raised seating area overlooking Orchard Square - an ideal place for a large group to take over.
