Woolpack Inn, Beverleyback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
The Woolpack was our second stop in Beverley. It is situated on a residential street at the western end of town on a road that leads to the Westwood. It's an old property with a number of different rooms. We were looking for food. But they couldn't accommodate us and most tables were reserved, with people spilling out onto the street. We found an unreserved table in the small snug at the front, which is the place for dog owners to go. Ales are all from Marstons - Wychwood Hoptathlon & Hobgoblin, Jennings Bitter, Cocker Hoop & Sneck Lifter, Banks's Sunbeam & Marstons EPA. There is no real cider. Lovely little pub. But I think there are better pubs in the town.

Westwood Road is one of the nicest roads in Beverley and the Woolpack is a very attractive pub. Hanging baskets outside along with benches, give the pub a very welcoming feel before you even get inside.
Once inside there's low beams and a lovely little snug to the right before you reach the small bar.
8 ales across the pumps with all of them from the Marston's stable, 3 of these from Jennings in Cockermouth, my drop of their Golden ale was excellent.
Most punters inside were eating, the food looked good and seemed to be big hearty portions, we took our drinks and sat out the front where it was busy with locals chatting and soaking up the last of the days nice weather.
The Woolpack is my type of pub, internally and externally attractive, plenty of character, a separate little snug to get away from diners, a good selection of ales (as long as you like Marston's ales) & friendly service.
Possibly the best pub in Beverley in my opinion.

Quite a few ales from the Marstons range but for me all very samey and boring. Pretty pub though. Watch out for strange opening/closing times

A good range of Marstons beers and worth visiting if looking for beer in Beverley

Lovely Victorian pub in a nice area, bit pricey though but the Real ale choice was good (7 on Last Night). Would go again.

Very nice double fronted pub a short, worthwhile, walk from the centre. This does have a nice traditional feel especially from the front room on the right just by the bar. Great choice of real ales especially if your a Jennings fan. Tried the Jennings "Yan Tan Tethera" this time which was excellent but not quite as good as my favorite "Snecklifter" or "Cocker Hoop" which were also on. Very friendly feel to this pub, relaxed with nice subtle lighting. Along with Nellies, the Tiger Inn, the Sun Inn and the Green Dragon, a good pub crawl for Beverley.

Our local. It has a very traditional feel to it, opening hours aside (from 5pm on a week night and 12 noon on a weekend) with its oak beems, rustic decor and great cask ales (Jennings). But don't go there to watch live sport (unless darts counts?). There is live music though. Well, a resident folk guitarist.

What a delight! The Woolpack is our local in Beverley. Great selection of ales, good pub food at fair prices, great company. My wife and I enjoyed meeting local folks returning from walking their dogs in Westwood Pasture. We're not dog owners and we enjoyed the canine company.

Good quiet local, reasonable but ordinary pub food, good range of real ales that change regularly.
