Entry in the GBG 2017 and now way I was going to miss getting my most northern tick.
Grim looking from the outside but head in - its fine.
All motor memorabilia, juke box and one real ale - an exceptionally good Scapa Special Pale Ale from Swanney Brewery.
Not much choice in Kirkwall, so if you''re looking here for inspiration, I''m sure you will be heading in.

Themed 'motor' pub (i.e. old Shell Oil signs on wall etc) a bit square and plain as a building (a bit like an old insdustrial unit or maybe even a garage). No ale on when we visited. Worth a drop by for the novlety of it (and for a change as there aren't too many watering holes in Kirkwall).

Perfectly acceptable pub for a couple of (my new favourite) Orkney Dark Island. Plenty of outdoor seating.

Warm place, small with plenty seating outside. I would suggest that it is nothing special though, would not go out my way to go there. If you are looking for an old traditional pub with plenty character, well this is definitely not the place for you.

I am sitting in this pub now typing this on my iPhone. A very nice pub with a motors theme. Good quality beers and a good selection too. Friendly and full of New Zealanders tonight. Recommend a visit.

Friendly welcome. Good place for a quiet lunchtime drink if you ignore the large-screen televisions (sound is usually turned down). No meals (toasted sandwiches if you are peckish). Have not visited in the evening, lunch-times only.
