New Inn, Readingback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Since moving into the new and rather nice Battle Hospital development this has become my local, as the Rose & Thistle is now 15 min walk away :-( Okay its the Oxxie Road so what do I expect ? Well I'd like it to get a spruce up, sort out their beer and offer a selection of wine (not just red or white !), offer some tempting basic pub grub that people might just want to eat ? Staff are friendly ... but that's the only positive. Used it while checking out the area, and buying my house, but wild horses wouldn't drag me in there now !

No ale, but not quite the worst pub on the Oxford Road...

Not as bad as it used to be, but not brilliant either. Sean & Jo have taken over the pub and kicked out the dealers and the worst of the worst.
Would like to see this pub get better but still needs much work.

Caters to the lowest common denominator along the Oxford Rd, a disgusting hole, most of the clientele should be taken out and shot....full of dealers, absentee fathers and slags. Oh, but you can score your coke and hash, in fact I've witnessed people( I use that tr=erm oin the loosest possible sense) lighting up their spliffs......nice touch. Yuk!

Im afraid this is another example of a REading pub fll of absolute tw&ts.

If you live near this pub then you are better off drinking at home and listening to the music without paying their prices. Clearly the better option as the beer is warm and flat and the staff need a speak and spell to respond to questions....'how much is that round' "Ugh, me club woman"
