Since moving into the new and rather nice Battle Hospital development this has become my local, as the Rose & Thistle is now 15 min walk away :-( Okay its the Oxxie Road so what do I expect ? Well I'd like it to get a spruce up, sort out their beer and offer a selection of wine (not just red or white !), offer some tempting basic pub grub that people might just want to eat ? Staff are friendly ... but that's the only positive. Used it while checking out the area, and buying my house, but wild horses wouldn't drag me in there now ! lauraeva - 12 Aug 2010 18:48 |
No ale, but not quite the worst pub on the Oxford Road... Quinno - 21 Sep 2008 18:07 |
Not as bad as it used to be, but not brilliant either. Sean & Jo have taken over the pub and kicked out the dealers and the worst of the worst. Would like to see this pub get better but still needs much work. rd250lc - 20 Oct 2007 15:02 |
Caters to the lowest common denominator along the Oxford Rd, a disgusting hole, most of the clientele should be taken out and shot....full of dealers, absentee fathers and slags. Oh, but you can score your coke and hash, in fact I've witnessed people( I use that tr=erm oin the loosest possible sense) lighting up their spliffs......nice touch. Yuk! Nero - 16 May 2007 15:34 |
