I've been to a number of Blue Monkey pubs before. But this was my first visit to their brewery tap. There is a single, small room with friendly bar staff. Blue Monkey ales were Guerrilla Stout, BG Sips, Evolution, Rhubarb and Custard, Funky Gibbon & 99 Red Baboons. Guests were Dark Star Partridge & Batemans XB. There were two Gwynt y Ddraig ciders - Happy Daze & Dog Dancer. But I opted for Broadoak Perry. Another decent Nottingham pub in a city that doesn't stop giving.

Our first visit but it won't be our last! Good beer and a great bustling, hectic atmosphere when we went (Saturday afternoon). Not to be missed and to be enjoyed along with the other good pubs in the Canning Circus area - people of Nottingham - you are so lucky and so spoilt for great pubs and beers I envy you.

What a fantastic pub. Great range of Blue Monkey beer son hand pump and in bottles. Roof terrace is a novel feature and the staff are more than helpful. Chapeau!!

Nine handpumps, six of which were Blue Monkey. Very good mix of seating & vertical drinking space.

Been in many times as its fairly local to me & one of the many pubs in the Canning Circus area. As its been mentioned its now owned by the Blue Monkey brewery & has many excellent choices of beer with some regular & others changing. All very well kept. Nice decor inside includes real wood fire, excellent sun terrace outside for the summer. Can get busy on a Saturday night but its a pretty good crowd. Great starting point for a crawl in to town down Derby rd or just to stay put on the sun terrace on a summer Sunday afternoon or indoors with the fire during the colder months.

First opportunity, yesterday, for a visit, since its simian conversion, and what a delight it was,
Absolutely excellent beers, fabulous atmosphere, friendly service & a lovely beer garden.
Will definitely be returning (many times I suspect).
I heartily agree, nivramkram; Organ Grinder - pub of the year 2012.

Now up and running. They've done a great job on the refurb and the Ales are excellent as you'd expect when looked after Joe, The former cellerman of the Crown Inn at beeston. Last years East Midland Pub of the year. The Organ Grinder or The OG as it's becoming known may well be a contender for next year.

Recently bought by the Blue Monkey Brewery. Re-opening soon as the Organ Grinder.

New management have freshened up and tidied a local jewel. Great selection of well kept trads' and nicely turned meals at lunchtimes. much friendlier and more relaxed now. Worth re-discovering.
