Small pub on the road out of town with one ale (Greene King IPA) and quite sparse.

If you like a bit of underlying hostility chucked in with your beer then this is the place. Not really brimming with any charm at all.
The Joiners is miles better.

If im to be totally honest, the pub inself, although in bad need of a lick of paint on the outside and a new carpet, looks decent... decent sized interior, nice conservatory section for eating and a large beer garden But the rest of the elements is a ramshackle... The bar had no ales available, and just run of the mill pints The clintelle chavvy types with 20 year old dads bringing their babies in prams down. Still they take them in the garden for some fresh air... while they smoke a fag... Its the sort of place you don't stare around in... or sooner or later your be asked 'what you looking at?' No my sort of place... very different contrast to the Joiners over the road

No improvement since Alph_river's visit. No real ale despite several naked pump handles. I didn't stay.

The pub with no beer! Well, no proper beer when I went in last Wednesday. There were pumps with reversed clips tho'. The Guinness I had was OK.
The pub grub was the standard sort of ready-prepared stuff, nothing special, but my chicken goujon baguette was tasty in the same sort of way as most fast food: heavily reliant on condiments.
This once used to be a fine pub which took care with its beers and punters came from afar to drink here. Unless the beer - and this IS a pub isn't it? - improves, discerning drinkers will probably give it a miss...

Single bar regulars pub, popular with the racing enthusiasts. Large conservatory. Large garden popular with children. Meals served all day. Real ale not always available.
