Great to see a tradintional public house being restored internally. It feels cosy in there with the open fire and all the locals are very friendly.

I would recommend this pub to anybody who is looking to spend a quiet hour or so to chill and relax fro the busy hairy scary life that London sometimes presents.

The only previous time I visited this pub - about 3 years ago - I was given the worst pint of London Pride (or any beer) I'd ever had and was forced to leave it (the pint and the pub).

However I have heard that this pub has now been taken over by the landlord of the one and only RED LION, in which case things could well be looking up indeed.

Watch this space.

Proper back street pub. Amiable and friendly staff. Dart board too.
Two bars, one of which is in the traditional style. In these days of mass pub closures this one deserves our support.

Excellent pub, DJ on a Friday night, free pool table during the week, BBQ's in the summer, the owners are friendly, approachable and always up for a laugh, the bar staff are chatty and good fun as are the regulars. There is never any trouble and everyone has a good time! In a totally different league to the Triple Crown, these people know how to run a pub!

Looking after mates house round corner, pleased to find a friendly watering hole with 'regulars'. Cheap as chips and a good open fire. Pretty barmaids too - makes a change!

Unremarkable side street pub. I normally eat and drink this type of pub, but for some reason which I can't quite put my finger on, I didn't particularly warm to this place.

Oh My God. I didnt think this sort of place existed anymore. Get away from the faceless brewery pubs and try an original free house pub. Good selection of beers and they sell hula hoops! Good old regular pub. Def worth a look.

Yes Percy is still there every Friday and Saturday.
Mum - 24 Apr 2005 14:46
No, but seriously... the Vic's OK. Is Percy still playing there?
Tony303 - 20 Apr 2005 16:43
Hey, this is great. The internet version of a stand-up row - just like a night in the Vic!
Tony303 - 20 Apr 2005 16:41
Pie and mash every Friday...nice. We are still enjoying the family atmosphere and welcoming bar chatter. This is an old style pub and they are dying out. Long live the Vic.
Mum - 25 Feb 2005 18:35
Are you having a laugh? I havent seen (or heard) of any fights/violence in the Vic for a couple of yrs now. should know I practically live on the doorstep. Get you're facts straight before you start throwing mud.

Much improved atmosphere since Kevin and Maria's arrival. Decent pint at the best prices in Isleworth. Def more character than the Aisla ! DO a lot of fund raising for local charities too.

I like this pub. Its a local pub for local people. Mary & Kev hold many a charity weekend which is enjoyed by kids & adults. Stay in the Aisla Bulldog. It probably suits you sir.
