Fairly average Greedy King country pub. Quite small inside, welcome was friendly, so points there.
Couple of ales on, my Abbot was OK but for some reason they had sparklers on it (removed when asked). Pfft.
Didn't really find much to get excited about.

friendly, clean pub in a gorgeous setting. very welcoming when we pop in on our cycle rides. beer always good but a little pricey, always want to try the food too as looks lovely. Sometimes advertises as having a bouncy castle in the garden, if that's your thing.

Happened to pop into this pub a short while ago purely by chance, and what a find! Definetely the most inviting pub I've been into in this area for a while, friendly bar staff, friendly punters, very welcoming. Not the greatest choice of beer, but all seems to be kept ok. By all accounts the current landlady has really turned this place around and so is now in my top 3 of great pubs. Give it a try.

Having visited this pub a few times over the last 6 months, I have got to say that it is the friendliest pub I have frequented in a long time. The service is second to none. The food, (especially the Sunday Roast), is delicious and presented to a very high standard. The beer garden boasts a spectacular view of the surrounding counties. I thoroughly enjoyed a private party in their function room. This is a pub that you must visit. I can assure you that you will not be dissappointed. I congratulate the landlord/landlady and their staff on the service and warm welocme that I have always received.

Walk straight past this pub, do not enter! I have only seen four people in here and that was including me and my husband! I think there is saw dust on the floor from the massive amount of custom they have in this pub [you might of guessed I am being sarcastic]! This pub could be a really nice if they put more ethicism in it, instead they rather sit and watch t.v than opening there eyes and looking to see what they could do about making it better. It's a shame because it is in great surroundings and the beer garden would be a really good feature, if only they did this pub up, it would'nt take much.

Small country pub under new management. New Landlady has interesting plans for beer and food. Locals appear to like what they see.
