This was the only place we could find a free table at 1:30 on a Saturday afternoon in Lincoln city centre. Now we know why.

We ordered a steak sandwich and a bowl of soup and waited a full 30 minutes. After this time a member of staff informed us that they didn't have any steak. Couldn't believe it took them half an hour just to look at the ticket; I would have expected a sandwich and soup to be cooked and served in less time than that. I think we only saw two orders come out of the kitchen the whole time we were waiting.

We cancelled the order, although they didn't feel it necessary to make our drinks complimentary and these weren't cheap either - 1.50 for a glass of concentrated apple juice and 2.50 for a J2O.

Even if our food had been served as expected, I still wouldn't recommend the place. The clientele seem pretentious and I don't know why considering they're in a chain pub that's trying to be upmarket (table service etc.) but failing to get even the basics right. They're welcome to it, I'll never visit a Dogma again.

Smart place, but gets too packed to move on the weekend to be enjoyable

Certainly one of the best bars in the city centre, not so many yobs as others in the area.
But of course this comes at a price.

Customer satisfaction is not a phrase this bar is aware of. Ordered food and was left to wait for nearly an hour, when I decided to leave and I informed the staff why, no-one was concerned or cared. I only hope the other tables I heard tiring of the wait obtained better service

Excellent! Go here rather than Yates next door. You will be treated with respect, served quickly and enjoy a nice atmosphere

Fantastic. Being a student from a southern background it's nice to see an injection of class into the city.

A great bar! Service is very good, cocktail list is the best in town, and the drinks are cheaper than Ritzy! Why go any where else?!!?

Lincoln should be proud to have such a fantastic addition to it's bar and restaurants. Dogma is simply the best thing to happpen here since the Cathedral was constructed. This bar has some of the best service I've ever experienced, the staff are some of the best trained and really friendly, the cocktails are fab and the food in the restaurant at the rear is scrummy.

Great venue, definately Lincoln's cleanest and smartest bar. Let down badly by Staff attitude, dreadful service and general lack of willing. Hot drinks get served cold, cold drinks are warm and slow. Good food if you can wait for it and don't mind the odd hair follicle or two. Worth a visit to see the venue and live bands but expensive drinks and bad attitude mean you won't feel welcome here.
