This was the only place we could find a free table at 1:30 on a Saturday afternoon in Lincoln city centre. Now we know why. We ordered a steak sandwich and a bowl of soup and waited a full 30 minutes. After this time a member of staff informed us that they didn't have any steak. Couldn't believe it took them half an hour just to look at the ticket; I would have expected a sandwich and soup to be cooked and served in less time than that. I think we only saw two orders come out of the kitchen the whole time we were waiting. We cancelled the order, although they didn't feel it necessary to make our drinks complimentary and these weren't cheap either - 1.50 for a glass of concentrated apple juice and 2.50 for a J2O. Even if our food had been served as expected, I still wouldn't recommend the place. The clientele seem pretentious and I don't know why considering they're in a chain pub that's trying to be upmarket (table service etc.) but failing to get even the basics right. They're welcome to it, I'll never visit a Dogma again. tigerontour - 20 Oct 2008 14:49 |
