A sad loss, it was one of the last few proper cider pubs left in Exeter, I can remember the Royal Oak from the barrel and the hellfire jukebox too. Such a shame that there seems to be no room left for pubs like this nowadays, even more of a shame that nothing has been built on the site of the pub yet. Demolished with undue haste I reckon.

Red Cow's gone!
|
The Red Cow is currently in the process of being demolished, so I think that it's reasonable to assume that it won't be opening ever again and remove it from the database. The owner wants the site for housing, although planning permission has been refused so far.

Now the red cow is going to be flats! how nice!

Sadly it looks like the place has closed for good - shame cos was always a good student pub with a great atmosphere, good theme nights and a free jukebox.

Just behind the Great Western Hotel, it used to be a friendly local. It was not open last time I was around, anyone know what is happening with it? Used to sell Inch's cider as well.
