Can my wife come to the cock Inn after a wedding reception in her Hat . need to know . thanks. JOHN.

Good food, reasonable selection of drinks, bit over priced in my opinion.

Visited today 15th August 2010. It was one of the worst "Sunday dinner" experiences ever experienced with utter crap service. Cold food. Tiny portions which were insufficient to go around our group. Bad management yet again. Why do managers allow a business to perform this badly? I'd advise you to spend your money and time elswhere.

My wife and I took our mothers here for a meal on Mother's Day. While I concede that this isn't really a pub, the beer and wine were really good, TT Landlord and Adnam's Bitter were on. The food was delicious and the service very good.
I have been visiting the Cock Inn on and off for years, it was the first place I brought my wife (or girlfriend as she was then) for a meal in the 1980s and it has always given good service and good food.
Well done!

The car park - as previous commentators have mentioned - is a (mature) WAG-fest of semi-personalised number plates on X5s etc.
Cher1L Bev 216 W4ynetta etc.
But, for round there - as a businessman of the non-tax-evading type - it does well enough for a pint and a pasta at lunchtime.

Before you visit here do the following;- 1. Buy a prestige car on the never-never. 2. Get your lady to paint her skin orange and put plenty of peroxide in her hair. 3. Get yourself a criminal record- (tax evasion being the most popular). 4. Bullsh*t to everyone about your income(but dont mention the words debt, second mortgage or maxed out) There- now you'll be fine!!!

Nowhere can be as shite as HA HA in Sutton Coldield. 10 mins at the bar when only one other person was ordering - two drinks. 55 mins waiting time for food, chef's seemed like they were on a permanent sabatical and when they finally decided to 'cook' something. The portion's were VERY small, of poor quality and worst of all - cold! It would have cost 18 too for the experience. We suitably complained and got a refund. Avoid at all costs. You have been warned!

The car park is full of ferrari's porche's and countless mercedes. It is always full which is strange cosidering its location in the middle of a load of fields. It can sometimes be overpacked even on a tuesday night. But quality bar and decor and a decent class of people no chavs guaranteed

This pub is so comically pretentious it's worth a visit.
Orange women Criminals in Ralph Lauren Voracious snobbery Bad food and worse service.
It's pants.

I met my girlfriend here (Incidentally she is a brunette). Great place for a business lunch and great for romantic dinner. Enjoyed it and will come again and not just for the birds.

Country pub in the middle of nowhere, it used to be frequented by boy racers and the XR3 mob, now doing big business in the meal department. Inside, it's completely lost it's country pub atmosphere since being done out, it now looks like an IKEA showroom and sadly seems to be a businessman/woman's haunt.

I and my friends (who incidently are not mature blondes and we don't drive posh cars)have been many times to this wonderful pub, we love the place. The food, the decor and the ambiance is wonderful. Always busy.

Recently visted the Cock Inn (Jan2004)and thoroughly enjoyed the visit.. loved the decor and the ambience, the food was excellent and the service outstanding.. shall definately recoomend it and I'm neither a mature blonde or drive an expensive car!

A great venue serving excellent food and reasonable beer. Attracts a very odd crowd of mature blonde ladies and blokes in expensive cars who clog up the small car park and dark country lanes nearby.

Recently refurbished, the Cock is two miles from Sutton Coldfield, and is an excellent pub for both food and drink. Reasonably priced with a good atmosphere and busy most nights of the week.
