To the Cretin who wrote the Post below. Slander and making accusations against an individual who has been CLEARED during a police investigation. Tut Tut a nice little Solicitors letter may shut you up. Get your facts right. We actually know you are, you cant hide behind your username. Get a life!!!!!

Great pub. Great staff now that service with a scowl is gone (dark haired with bad teeth) and her click. GPM I heard. Surprise. Surprise. Nine years of getting away it. Fair play to the new management. Hope they make.a go of it. And a paddy to boot. Best of luck to him/her and family

Ventured into this pub as nothing else nearby and regretted it. I don't touch Lees beers, they taste really awful, so opted for a Newky Brown at 3.55 a bottle, ouch!!
Interior is neat and tidy, a couple of pensioners were the only other customers. Won't rush back anytime soon.

Nicely refurbished and the beer was rather good. However, if you want to have a chat don't go when there is a footy match on because the commentary is broadcast throughout the pub at ear blistering volume and there is no escape wherever you sit. Would have been so easy to fit on/off switches to the speakers.

The Bridge Inn reopens tonight, Friday 6th November 2009 following a major refurbishment. I hear that it looks fantastic.

Good pub, does get packed when footy match on but good atmosphere. Nice in summer sat outside overlooking the canal

Hate to disagree but we went in last week when the weather was cracking and we had a great lunch it was busy but the staff looked happy great value

We went today at 12.30 for lunch for two, easy you may think?? Not here, there was one table of two already occupied, other than that, empty. My husband went to order and was told 30 minute wait before food could be prepared, then wait for it to cook, ie 45min before we could eat, at least!! We were told that a party of 8 were coming and so no-one else could be served until 30 mins later. Are you seriously telling me a restaurant can only cope with 8 covers at 1230 lunch time?? The other table already had their food so they weren't counted either!! twice this pub has let us down. I do not recommend it, at all. Unfriendly, unhelpful and unable to organise a booze up in a brewery!!

The Bridge Inn is one of the best pubs in Sale, it's friendly atmosphere and staff are always welcoming. It offers a good selection of drinks and the new menu is filled with tasty goodies you just can't refuse!

This pub has recently had new management which has increased the good atmosphere. I've always found the staff to be knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The pub itself is clean and tidy, with good beer and great pub food. Sometimes you have to wait a bit for food but i guess thats what you get in a busy pub!

This pub has gone down hill so much had a lovley refurb but looks like it has never been cleaned since!!The bar staff are so unfriendly and so unhelpfull its unreal you always have to wait over an hour for food and when it comes its not worth eating! If you dare to complain dont expect any sympathy as you wont even get a sorry ! big beer garden but not allowed to eat food outside???? pointless!its not worth the visit.

Used to be a great pint of boddies in here when I played for a crap Sunday league footy side called Dane Road Central in the late 80s. Win draw or lose, we were always on the booze. Sadly, like most things, it's just not as good as it used to be, but still better than most Sale pubs.

Ideal summer venue as right next to the Bridgewater Canal, this is offest by a proximity to the DSS office although it's handy for Dane Road Metro station. The pub itself does reasonable food and gets busy at lunchtimes.Never really has a quiet period and has a big screen for football but the quality of the beer has declined over the years, reflecting the quality of the pub - the site is prime building land and it can't be long before the pub is knocked down.
