Old Moot House, Kingston upon Thamesback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Demolition work has started at the rear of the property. Whether the plan is to pull it all down or just the crappier rear part is unknown. I think it's going to become a hotel with a bar downstairs.

Shuttered as of 11 March. The plan to convert it into a hotel seems to be going ahead. This could actually be what the area needs (provided it really is a hotel, not a builders' hostel like the Six Bells - I know builders need a place to stay but a proper hotel would bring in trade to the area).

I like this pub....please dont ask me why..

What a shithole this place has become. Whilst the beer is ok and the live music its best feature, the standard of the pub is very poor. Venturing into the gents loo is like walking into the proverbial black hole of Kolkata: grimy, squelchy underfoot, stinking and bleak. Not surprisingly it's quiet a fair bit of the time and has often closed when you would think it would be open. I've heard that it is going to be converted into a hotel....

Closed at 10 last night (on the last Thursday of the month!), what is going on here?

So disappointing, they need to sort the beer out, this pub has a prime location (not exactly in the centre but on a major road) and could do very well, the more so as it is one of the few pubs remaining in this area.

It's just ok.... I do feel that they couldn't care less about the state of the toilets especially the ladies, they really need to sort those out. I checked the hygiene rating as well on Google, and it is not very impressive. There is fantastic live music here, and given the location of the pub, it's heavily relies on people who know it's there? There is very limited parking nearby so that doesn't help matters. The food is supposed to be very good, but with the uncleanliness of the venue and the toilets, I could not see myself eating there. I think they need to rectify this to pull in more custom .

This pub has been through many changes and many names over the years. In its current incarnation there is lots of live music and, more to my taste, an Indian menu. My Vegetable Jalfrezi and Nan was delicious, hot and cheap (£7).
Beers are a little overlooked and while I was disappointed to see the far too common Doombar there was also Naked Ladies and so I had a nice pint of that.
