The Looking Glass was the second Wetherspoon's I visited in Warrington. It enjoys a prominent corner location and was busier and livelier than the Friar Penketh. It was also much harder to get served, with just one overworked girl behind the bar taking drink and food orders and making coffees. A 10 minute wait for service ensued. That did at least give me time to spy a couple of real ciders in the fridges that I hadn't previously noticed. The ale selection was Greene King Abbot, Ruddles, Best, Sharp's Doom Bar, Coach House Coachman's Spring & Gunpowder Mild, Harviestoun Old Engine Oil, Jenning's Sneck Lifter, Wadworth Green Beacon & Caledonian Port of Leith. Ciders were Broadoak Moonshine, Cock Eyed Pear Mania, Hunt's Wobbler & Tempted Elderflower Cider.

Jabberwocky is brewed by Coach House for this pub, so I decided to give it a try. I found it bland and a little sweet. Jaipur by Thornbridge and another non national was available - but the rest was all standard stuff. A bit disappointing.

Here on business. Don't seem may real ale outlets in warrington, and must be said none come up to the standards of the weatherspoons looking glass.
Found beers really good, staff very friendly, food good value for your money.

Fairly impressive Spoons decorative wise, with service being pleasant and efficient. As previous posters observe, it has a nice outside part which we sat in. Sampled a lovely pint of Dark Alice which was reasonably priced and tasted great.
Warrington is one of them places you don't go to unless you have a valid reason. In other words it is a shit-hole.

By far the better of the two Spoons in town in my opinion. Interesting two level layout, with lots of nooks and corners on the ground floor. Also a large drinking area outside all round the building.
Had 7 guest ales available when I was there - including 2 which appeared to be specially brewed for them.

One of a pair of decent Wetherspoons in Warrington and close by the Lower Angel (which is a much better option than either). Maybe a little slow service but the beer range is good

Popped in back in June. A very nice JDW offering spread over two floors, with a lift actually available to the upstairs area that features a small bar aswell. Guest ales were only 1.95 pint. Only negative thing was the service(as prev mentioned). Only one girl serving however she was friendly and working her arse off for the pennies she was prob on. 8/10

went in early mid week afternoon was quite a few in the pub.had one of the christmas beer that was on sale which was a good pint. the pub looked a good spoons.
the only thing wrong was the slow serving with only one bar staff serving i was third in line to be served and still tooked 10 mins to get served. and in that time the one barman serving left the bar for 2 mins. some people who had come in after left because of the wait to be served

Standard spoons offering now a bit quieter after the February opening. Not too long to get served and a friendly team of bar staff. A few good ales and getting better now the newness has worn off
