Middlesex Arms, South Ruislipback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Now a Green King establishment. This cavernous 1930’s boozer has recently been transformed at great cost inside and out to a high standard. Lots of tables, seating, stools, super comfy bench seats + pool table. £3.80 for one of the 3 available cask ales which was in good order, to be expected being casque mark accredited.
Bit of a footie pub with various big screens dialled in to sky sports. 2 minute walk to South Ruislip Station for Central underground and Chiltern main line- 8 minutes to Wembley Stadium, 18 mins to London Marylebone- TFL oyster card works. Opposite is a public car park and Sainsburys store.

Huge, cavernous pub. Not much real ale but a good spot to watch the footie (they were showing two different games in two discrete areas when I was there - large-ish screens).
About £3.90pp Strongbow, if that's a decent guide.
About 2 minutes' walk from South Ruislip station which is on the Central Line and BR from Marylebone to High Wycombe.
Only pub in the vicinity, far as I could see.

This could be such a good pub. Couple of things let it down - poor range of beers, Stella, carlsberg and the token London Pride to satisfy the Camra lot and too many Chelsea fans. A decent selection of beers would do wonders here as it a nice cavernous pub, with a decent beer garden out front and back.
Some decent bands wouldn't go amiss. Elvis tributes ? Leave that for the curry houses and get some proper music in.

I drink here from time to time and whilst my opinion of the pub is largely favourable I have to give it a poor rating based solely on the ridiculous waiting times.
On too many occasions I have strolled in- waited 10 minutes and got fed up and walked out.
Even when the pub is not busy the staff fail to acknowledge you, regulars who walk in much later get priority or the staff decide to go off and collect glasses.
I sympathise with showing regulars a degree of preference when the pub is busy but don't pretend that you can't see punters waiting at the bar.
Were it not for the service I would give a 7/10

Not a bad boozer. Clean, comfortable, reasonably priced. I am surprised that this place has not been reviewed more.
The only problem was they didnt really do any beer that I liked. The only premium larger that had on was wife beater which I stopped enjoying when I was about 19. Where is the Kronenberg???
In terms of ales, the Pride was decent however I only had one pint before it was switched off. The other one was GK IPA which I know is popular however I think that you may as well have a soft drink if you are going to go for that.
All in all though, I'l definitely be returning at some point.
6 out of 10
