Yet another change. Pub People have offloaded to another regime. Blue Monkey beers have gone - a more national list on offer now. Too early to say if this one is going to work out.

A more realistic, pub classics, menu. Rather than the finer dining of previous times.

Pub apparently has quickly re-opened. Lease taken on by the Pub People Company, who have a lot of decent pubs around the North Midlands. Usually championing local micro producers, so might be good. I will try it out and report.

Pub now closed.
The company that ran the place put a notice up saying how the competition had driven them out of business as they were unable to compete. That'll be the Butter Cross (JD Wetherspoon) then.

Pub rapidly going down hill. Hardly any real ale on. Needs help fast.

Mainly food orientated massive pub on edge of market place. Always four or five decent ales on the bar, including a local one. The food is excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Good garden as well.
