A decent conversion of the former station building and a good choice of ales, well worth a visit.

Superb venue in the remnant of the original Victorian station, the rest was modernised in the 60s I guess. Frequent train service is a few yards away. Good range of beers. I had Heron Porter from Two Roses brewery which was excellent

Still exceptional beer quality here, I find. The type of beer that reminds you why you drink the Ale! Very well kept. At least 3 independents/micro's on. Some great Beer publications and newspapers to read when on ya tod. Could do with some benches outside now the warm weather has arrived.

We went a few times, wont repeat all the accurate reports below, we stopped going simply because they shut about 9.30 on Saturday (and maybe other nights) which left the place a bit hollow whenever we got there. Get the impression its more of a breakfast bar and on the way home from work pub. Additionally it's not paricularly comfortable. Anyway, beers always been great and staff (owners) are very welcoming. BTW it took years of battling bureaucracy and jumping through hoops to get this place opened as a bar, so support it if youre able.

visited one Saturday afternoon. Good range of well-kept real ales (and pork pies etc in a glass case which looked fresh enough !) and friendly staff. The interior is as you would expect given that these were the former waiting rooms and are kept very clean with wicker chairs, large tables and plenty of railway memorabilia adorning the walls. Clean key-pad entry toilets. There were a couple of ladies enjoying a drink at one table and someone doing some work on their laptop at another table which is seems to indicate that it's a fairly inclusive and realxed place for all people to use. A bit out from the town centre but worth a visit and it's to be hoped the place can be successful which it should be in its platform location on this busy rail route.

Following the trend of licensed bars at rail stations in the area. Had a nice pint of stout. Well worth a visit.

Visited on a weekday lunchtime. Very friendly staff. Excellant beers, only 3 out of 6 handpumps in use. They stock local beers only and use all 6 handpumps on a Saturday. Well worth a visit and a frequent train service from the adjacent platform.

Nicely refurbished station buffet on the Manchester bound platform. Bar is to the left as you enter and to the right is a large log/coal burner which was roaring away on Monday. There's a good looking clock above the entrance door inside and loads of old railway posters around the walls. Six handpumps on the bar but only three on. These were Old Spot Spring's Sprung, Elland Privilege and Daleside Blonde. I had a pint of the Old Spot and an Elland, both were very well kept. They also sell a variety of snacks including the excellent tooth breaking pork scratchings from Mr Scratchings in Bradford. A great job has been done on this place we'll certainly call again.

Immaculate refreshment rooms in a thirties "refectory" style. Beer always in excellent form, usually about 4-5 independents. Classic old handpumps, real stove, old radiators and a great clock from an old jewellers add to the quality feel. Impressive.

Excellent pub on Sowerby Bridge Station, Opened in July 2009 after a long period of negotiation with Network Rail using the old Waiting Rooms that used to be on the up loop platform.
6 real ales, mainly from Local Brewers in good condition. They also do hot drinks and locally produced cakes in the style of a railway buffet. Good breakfast avalable in the morning at reasonable prices.
I recently attended an excellent local transport evening.

Newly refurbished pub at Sowerby Bridge railway station in the style of a typical railway buffet. Good choice of beer, nearly always from local independent brewers.
