The Mucky Duck's been closed for several months. Enterprise have put it on the market, freehold. The Parish Council are trying to make it a community owned pub to prevent it being sold as a private residence: https://monxton.org.uk/black-swan/press-releases/

First time back under new ownership. Greta improvement, the food was very good, imaginative and not over-priced. Had three beers on tap, a little cold for my liking, as well as a small selection of craft beers on which they hope to expand. Still heavily into the restaurant side rather than the pub side.

Excellent evening meal on Saturday. Good to see the pub so busy. Couple of good beers but far to cold - but then the landlord is French! Perhaps I should have had the wine.

Was a gem, however the new "management" have hiked up the prices and lowered the standard of food.
Oven chips should not be deep fried!! and the oil used to cook the fish should be a.)hot enough to fry, b.) changed frequently.

What a little gem this place is. Beautifully clean with friendly staff this pub is a wonderful find in a gorgeous village. Food was great offering a variety of dishes at good prices. A definite must if you are out and about.

Foody restaurant rather than a pub. Have been there when all tables were reserved for diners (even though they were not actually occupied) so had to stand. Varied selection of beer but not the best kept, and be prepared to dig deep into the pockets. Lovely garden for summer though.
