Efficient barmaid, 4 ales on, I indulged in Thwaites 'Wainwright', a well kept ale.

Sizable pub, very good smoking area at rear & also tables placed out the front. Pleasant barmaid. I had pints of Brakspear ''Oxford Gold'' [decent enough pint] & Thwaites'' ''Sharp Intake'' [nice pint].

This 17th century town centre pub promises more from the outside than it delivers within. The L shaped interior is very plain and featureless and almost has a Smith & Jones feel to it. There were 4 pumps with Banks Bitter, Ringwood 49er, Brakspear Oxford Gold (+ 1 unused pump) at relatively bargain prices but our Saturday lunchtime visit was overwhelmed by foodies and their admittedly hearty looking dinners making it impossible to bag a seat or table. There is a dart board in one corner, a Big Screen for sport and regular live music so you need to pick your time if you intend to have a peaceful visit. The charm and quaintness mentioned in its advertising wasnt terribly obvious to me and the beautiful beer garden appeared to be little more than a patch of decking with umbrella covering unless I missed something. It isnt the worst place in town by a long shot and there are a couple of decent ales but, despite its obvious popularity, I get the impression that most people come for its cheap and cheerful approach rather than anything of great substance.

Here is my afternoon report on Bull Inn! Staff very friendly and atmosphere very good. Enjoyed 4 pints of Marston's Ploughman's which were highly satisfying. I'll definitely be back.

Looks much more modern inside than the traditional exterior would suggest. Four real ales on, including a decent pint of Banks's Bitter. Seemed pretty busy, but I think that most people were from a single large party out on the town for the evening.

I have always enjoyed coming here either in the afternoons or evenings. Called in last night and had 2 Pints of Banks's which were very good. Staff were rearranging tables and chairs so perhaps the live music booked for last night never showed up. Music from CD player was on instead & was today's chart hits. I'll give an afternoon report on this pub soon.

Not a bad pub , 4 handpulls Bankss Bitter , Marstons Ashes , Ringwood doopledog and Jennings yangsanpo (or somthing ) decent atmosphere and service , worth a visit

Nice exterior, with a very clean, wood based interior. As ROBCamra says, it is a large L shaped room, with dining more confined to the area past the bar. It was quiet when we visited, but friendly enough.
Usual taps, with 3 real ales when we visited, yet i only made note of two (i am slipping!). These were Jennings Tom Fool and Ringwood 78. I had the Fool, which was well kept, but not to my taste.
Worth a visit

Nicely appointed pub both inside and out just off the main pedestrianised area. Its actually one big L shaped room but has two distinct areas with the back part of the pub leaning more towards dining. Its badged as a Marstons pub but didnt actually have any Marstons cask ale on although they are all from the extended stable. Four handpumps selling Ringwood Fortyniner and Bold Forester along with Brakspear Oxford Gold and Bankss Bitter. Had a pint of the Bold Forester which was very good. Has live music on regularly as well. Its a good pub, well worth a visit.
