Another Horbury pub with a good choice of beers , pleasant in winter with a real fire .

Good lively local. 4 guest ales plus regulars from Ossett brewery, Timothy Taylors, Clarks and Black Sheep. Would have awarded 10 if pub not frequented by a certain regular loud mouth bore.

Very good pub. Attracts all manner of punter from old couples to young lads. Interesting sports memorabilia on the walls. Usually around half a dozen ales on tap - all very well kept. Plenty of efficient staff. Seem to favour bitters and porters though (I prefer golden and pale ales.)

Good range of real ales at decent prices, interesting Wakefield Trinity memorabilia around the walls and a pool table in the back. Staff seemed friendly enough

This is my kinda place, Spanish don't like it very much, but he will come round, there will be plenty boating and plenty Tom coating. I will be yurning and gurning and the brasses will be learning what keeps elphick's world turning.

The new manager James is a good lad but Phil the cellarman is a clever know it all who deserves a slapping! That Jimmy character who stands at the end of the bar near the back door is a tosser as well! Overall pub is good though!

Not a bad pub. Good beer with a regular turnover of some great guest beers (with the local Clarke's beer as regular) Staff can be unfriendly, as can a lot of the regulars and there can be the odd duelling banjo moment.
