Back open and a great locals' local as before.

This pub reopened recently, seems to have had an exterior refurb, inside remains the same. Worth a quick visit if waiting for a train.

This pub has closed - the shutters went up just before Christmas. Not sure why.

Quite an interesting looking pub, shaped in plan like one of those pre-packed wedges of supermarket cheese. Inside, there is just one small bar with a fairly limited amount of seating (but most customers seem to prefer the area nearest the door so probably worth heading towards the back which is also where the two handpumps are located). Seems to offer a reasonable pint at about 3.00, and very handy - as the name would suggest - for St Leonards Warrior Square station.

Best pub in the area and an interesting exterior.

Last time I was there, it seemed to be full of bit part players in "Carry on Screaming!" but this is one of the nicest looking pubs in the area and in theory a positive mecca for the thirsty train traveller. Trouble is to get in your usually have to navigate the chain-smoking, foul mouthed Neanderthals usually to be found by the entrance. On a quiet day, worth a visit nonetheless.

Coming from Salford, I think we would notice the difference between real pork and thick pig. Ginger Blear will not be sold again

Great little pub this one, though no doubt an acquired taste. It occupies a V shaped site almost opposite Warrior Square station. I use it for my final drink if I have to catch the Brighton flyer and always manage to overhear some gem from one of the decaying locals. Last week two of them were discussing the best way to do away with Hazel Blears.... The agreed 'final' solution was to vacuum pack her and sell her off in portions in the local Lidyls! Great..

Lovely pub. Real charm in an area not know for it. 6/10
