The Crown, Covent Garden

The long standing previous owner here who retired some nine years ago, was in my opinion the rudest (and most hilariously droll) landlord in London.
Forget the other famously rude one at the Coach And Horses. Gabbi was awful.Far worse.
The bar stools were chained to the floor and you had to sign a little book to be given the key for the gents..... He would bar you for life for the smallest infringement of his 'rules'

So, nearly a decade later I meet my old mate Covent Garden Dave here for a pint, only to discover that the tradition continues - infact has been bettered!

What an arrogant old runt the present incumbent is.
I think that they must do a finishing school especially for the staff at this establishment.
PISS POOR BEER TOO.........

The Beachy Head, Eastbourne

A ghastly, formulaic warehouse.
If you are thinking of taking that final walk of destiny - (cliffs are just over the road) then this would potentially spur you on to make it...
Like a Wetherspoons, only worse.

The Cricketers, Brighton

Had some Broadside here with an old work colleague recently.
This remains a super, quirky old place.
Highly recomended, though the guvnor is a little direct, even for my taste....
