please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

My first visit to the Prince Albert at 10.45pm on a Tuesday and there's 7 punters including us 2 in the pub. The barman gives us a warm welcome and offer’s some advice on the 2 available ales across the 3 hand pumps which were Clarkshaws Gorgons' Alive and Brick Breweries Sir Thomas Gardyner.

I opted for a couple of pints of the Thomas Gardyner for the 2nd time tonight having had it earlier in the Beer Rebellion at Queens Road station.

There’s an original tiled floor at the bar and the rest of the pub is very nicely decorated with the added bonus of very clean toilets…even at almost 11pm!

The Albert is a very pleasant pub therefore I have no idea why I haven’t been here before.

Refurbed. Redesigned. Reimagined.
Reduced customer base...dramatically !

Went in here yesterday. Disappointed there were no ales on offer. Landlady/Barmaid said they can only have one ale on at a time as they only have the pipes for one (they did have 2 handpumps). However the Doom Bar on the pump clip was settling and wasn't ready. Fortunately they had a small selection of bottles ales. They were 3 each. A lot more than reviews on here from two years ago, a 33% increase!

Quite a good place if you just fancy a drink with mates. Also pool and darts to keep you entertained. No food served but there are a few benches outside if it's sunny.

Seems I will have to update here; the wonderful Geraldine has pulled the Albert into shape & it remains the South London boozer to frequent round here. Full of local character/s, banter, and yesfootball. Also a pub carpet. And a proper (battered) pool table. Joy.

Paul has suddenly gone - willl be missed I think... - The Albert the watering hole of the main drinking souls around here who like a personable pub.

Lunches now on and good clear posters re what sports being shown. Not overwhelmingly loud though so you can enjoy a drink even if not engaged in 2020, rugby or footer. Believe new pumps going in from Fullers soon to add to the ale side. Welcoming, well run local pub nowadays.

popped in here on a tuesday , a few weeks ago , interesting crowd, good bar staff , average, slightly sour pint of guinness, place still in need of a good clean.
heard that plans are afoot for refurbishment. no doubt "watch this space"

Prince A gaining in popularity around here lately - a good crowd of all backgrounds - writers to builders it seems. Good staff serving us the beer - not much in the way of ale though - Courage, Masterbrew and JSmiths and then its largerville. Carpet on floor, fruit machine, telly, regular crowd but open enough to passers by.

called in friday 8pm, not too busy but a nice little crowd. I liked the way its decorated but it all needs a bloody good clean. service was friendly, the barmaid had all the right bits in the right places, :-) the only bitter was courage best which i,m not a fan of at any time so i had a lager instead, overall , visit was enjoyable and would return when the place has had a wash.

Horse brasses, horseshoe bar, pool table and locals conversation - with occassional shouting at the football! Just taken over so wondering if it will change? An unchanged local, and one of a good crawl to be had around here.
