just visited on a beautiful september afternoon. small bar so service a bit slow. 4 cask beers Wainright, Theakston Lightfoot, Theakston BB, forget the other. The BB was excellent, but had to ask for a top up. Great out on the balcony. The outside looks better than the picture currently on here. Beer 10/10 Food 10/10 Location 10/10 slowish service let it down a tad

Went in here to eat but it was so hot that I just had a pint and sat outside - they had 4 ales on and none were anything The menu read well but ventilation required.

Fantastic food, awful beer. It seems to me that they think they don't have to try too hard and unfortunately, this goes for most of the pubs in Robin Hoods Bay. I cannot find anything decent to drink here and I've been trying for years. I had a pint of Wainwright's and it was so disappointing. However, the food is grand and served in huge portions. Cannonbolt, I don't know what you had but I 've never had a meal in here that wouldn't have fed half the pub.

The Theakstons was ok. Food was ok for quality but a bit lacking in quantity. Atmosphere was good tho.

fantastic food but the booze is foul. the coke, the lager, the guinness and the john smith's bitter were all rank. what a shame.

Average pub in a nice spot that struggles to cope with the numbers of visitors. Still probably the best in the area, but Fylingdale Arms up the road is a better bet!

Probably agree with previous reviewers on this one - best pub of the 3 in general and food was very popular though the portions I saw were only average in size and the smell of 'old' oil pervaded the pub.

We ate here two nights on the trot this week and the food is brilliant. Good, wholesome, tasty grub with a wide range on offer. The portions are absolutely massive too. Beer wise, they had four ales on but I drank lager which was pretty rank unfortunately. The decor could do with updating but it's definately worth going here for something to eat.

I got absolutely hammered here after completing the Coast to Coast, been back loads since, great pub , good memories, here's to my mate lee

The inoffensive Theakstons Black Bull was in good condition as was the Deuchars IPA. Great views over the bay from the cosy bar and the dining room. Downstairs bar open in peak season.

A great spot for a pub, high up and a wide angle view, overlooking the sea. Nicely comfortable, warm and cosy - the beer is well kept and the service polite and friendly.

4 handpumps serving duchers IPA, john smith cask, directors and theakstons black bull bitter. The later was acceptable. Wide selection of pub standard food. Good views across the bay.

A lovely little place right on the sea front in the lovely village of Robin Hoods Bay. There's nice outdoor seats for the view in fine weather, and inside 2 pleasant and cosy bars. The wainright bar is used by many people as the end of their coast-to-caost walks and so is particularly hospitable to walkers, and has lots of parephenalia and maps on the walls. They have three real ales on, Director's Courage and Theakstons Best Bitter being regulars.
