Visited again Feb 2015. Why oh why are you encouraged to order drinks from your table...? Overall the place is okay and food is half decent, but yet again my big complaint is that there was a 4 deep queue at the bar, one girl serving and yet when you order a round of drinks from a waitress it takes ages to arrive... Just have more bar staff and let people get there own drinks... Anyway, rant over. On a positive note, tried a refreshing blonde ale called Golden Pippin from the Copper Dragon brewery, Skipton, North Yorkshire which was very nice.

Fantastic quintessential English pub, great cask ales kept very well by Paul the new landlord. Great food with fantastic service. Check out the beer garden out the back of the pub, wow it really is a stunner!!!!

Poor... Typical chain pub. Food is average at best. Last time i went we sat at a table and were asked to move because it was apparently "reserved" (even though place was half empty). Needless to say i didnt and got in an argument with staff (who are going through the motions anyway). Don't bother - plenty of better pubs in Quorn

Not a very interesting pub. Average to poor beer. It has been renovated recently, I cant remember the dcor as its so dull. The food was fine. I had, er I cant remember.
There is nothing to recommend this pub, aside from the fact there is little actually bad about it.

Decent enough pub. Decent choice of guest ales. Does seem to give the impression of being more food orientated. Agree with admirals comment about some people being pretentious but it won't stop us going in again if we're in the area.

Visited on 27th December. Was very busy with lots of people dining. However, there was a choice of real ales on. The Abbot was in good form. A friendly service although we were visitors to the area. Handy for the GCR!

I visited this pub recently, and was very impressed. The staff where friendly and helpful, the beer seemed fresh ant the staff where really friendly. Pity that they didn't have a bigger selection of real ales though.

I don't like this place at all. It's more of a restaurant than a pub. Frequented by pretentious people as well.
Also, the pub has a policy of refusing entry to anyone collecting for charity. Not nice people.
