Four roomed unspoilt gem. Parlour bar to right, comfortable sociable lounge to left, with bench seating. Two further rooms to rear, with darts and pool. Beer was excellent quality. A house bitter by Pheonix £1.60 pint ! Pheonix Westcoast IPA £2.00 pint. Bargain, must be a true freehouse. Great people and great atmosphere, recommended.

A good, friendly pub with a decent choice of cask ales. We combined it with a visit to the White House and Moorcock.

Previous comment correct re music. Best real ale was Red Lion Bitter (1.40/pt)!

I would like to agree with all the comments made by the previous posters except the one made by, perhaps my fellow United fan, about the music. It is dominated by far to much 50s/60s crooner type music. Other than that a great pub with some real characters.

Fine old stone pub just under the railway bridge from Littleborough centre. It's pretty chintzy in the main rooms but less so in the front bar. Has 5 handpumps, one of which has a really weird dispense system with a high neck, very interesting. Comfortably furnished, well behaved dogs appear to be welcome as there's always been a couple in whenever we've called in. The ale is prertty well kept as well. Don't expect to be able to get a phone signal either inside or outside the pub, it appears to be a dead zone. It's a nice pub.
