I ordered a curry and they gave me the wrong sauce! Didnt realise until I got home and of course couldnt be bothered to go back. After trying all the other curry places in the area I will give it a second chance as the main dish that I did eat was quite nice

This is now trading as the Raintree. It is principally an Indian restaurant with a small bar area. Food is excellent and good value. Southern India style. Quite hot!

This is now called 'the Leaf' and seems to be positioning itself as an upmarket Indian restaurant. There is still a bar area, but the whole place has been refurbished and is unrecognisable from TJ's. Could be nice in the summer. Really not sure about the bowl of boiled, yes boiled, peanuts they gave me with my pint, but then again I was their very first customer!

Mr anonymous seems to have gone the way of all flesh: the premises are being refurbished and rebranded again. There is an opportunity here, now the old Ferry Inn across the road has been ruined.

Good meal but overcharged and waiting for a refund 3 months later. Very poor service from pub manager Malcolm. Extremely disappointed at the result.

Stayed here one night and had a great evening.
Had drinks in Kingston then back here for a few more b4 calling it a night.
V friendly staff and good choice of beers.
The breakfast was great too and rooms v clean.
Loved the landlords Dog too. Think it was a Hungarian Viszla!

Having just moved into the area and being fussy about where i drink i have to say some of the previous reviews are nonsense. the bar is very comfortable and the staff are great. the food is absolutely superb and every day the restaurant is busy with families and couples alike. chavs? id have to say most pubs have chavs but id say the clientel in here is a nice blend. if you dont like it in here then your probably not going to fit in anywhere so stay at home and leave the rest of us to enjoy this great pub!

Some of the criticism of this place is unfair. I for one think that Tiger Joe's fulfills a very valuable role in our community. It entices all the chavs into a single location, so the rest of us can enjoy the other pubs in peace.

14th June.. Mr anonymous.... you might as well at least say you are the landlord, it doesn;t sound quite so sad preaching about your own venue if you are at least honest.

That said having visited Tiger Joe's, the contents of your review suggest you are not in fact honest at all. Chavtastic indeed!

Is Mr Anonymous the landlord....I wonder ??? Chavtastic !

Full of low lifes, very rough although good live music and average food if you like to eat in a smoky atmosphere.

Oh dear. A chav's paradise. OK if you want football, 20 fags an hour and lager. Guinness was undrinkable which is hard to achieve. One to avoid.

Great food, good portions. Drinks are expensive and seems to be popular with senior chavs who are loud and annoying other than that a good pub.

Thames Dittons best kept secret!
Great atmosphere, and even better food at extremely reasonable prices!
On Weekends there is often live music which is well worth a look.
Excellent and friendly staff who are always up for a laugh!
Weather your on your own, out with mates or taking your Nan out for Sunday lunch this the place to go.
Definitely the best food for miles.

i remember it as the masons arms, billy bunters, greens, doc bradies injun medicine show ect ect i think it was best in its original incarnation when it was a normal pub.

The food is fantastic best place around the area and i feel for the size of the plate good value for money.Try the sunday roasts!!

Strange kind of place. Relaxed, friendly but a strange lack of atmosphere, maybe because an urgent make-over is needed. Hugely overpriced with the most laughable happy hour prices in town (2.25 all lagers!)

Its quite small, and although a little pricey it is a nice place for a couple of bevies
Emm - 12 Feb 2004 12:56
Stupendously over-priced in every department. More name changes than the everage pub also raises ones suspitions. Apparently the breakfasts are ok though, but see point 1 above before trying them for yourself

Tiger Joe's is a nice clean pub with a restaurant area serving English food. Live music duos appear regularly on Fridays and Saturdays.
