To expand on my previous brief report, this is a Robinsons pub directly opposite the bus station. Most of it is genuinely old, with low hanging beams and nooks and crannies (and unexpected steps as I discovered to my cost recently !). Only Robinsons beers are served on handpump – usually 4, and sometimes including Old Tom. Food is available, but isn’t cheap (£7 for a salmon sandwich). I have eaten here in the past, but don’t remember much about the meal – so I guess it must have OK.
Best feature of the place however, is that it is one of the few pubs in Nantwich which DOSEN’T have a large screen TV to show “football”.

Stayed here last week very comfortable room, warm welcoming bar with pleasant Robinsons beers. Very good

Not much I can add really. A solid unspectacular pub selling 4 decent Robinson's ales.

Decent robinsons pub. Doesn't set the world alight but does the job.

Be careful not to sit in the wrong seat as the yokels don't like you sitting in "their" place. Expensive too, even for Nantwich.

Interesting old pub - a bit "beams and horse brasses" but not over the top, with several distinct drinking areas and a restaurant. Excellent Robinson's beer and good food - with a choice of four vegetarian dishes and a "local and seasonal" menu. Despite this, food doesn't dominate or take away the atmosphere of a good town centre pub. Great views of the bus station from the lounge windows!

We thought this pub was a gem. Very Olde World but in a charming way. Hand pulled Robinsons beers as good as any you'll get outside of Stockport. A great pub to sit, read the paper and take in the atmosphere. Friendly staff and locals.
